Multi-Field, Multi-Step Form 🔥

Every so often, the Unbounce Community is blessed by some absolute freakin’ ROCKSTARS like @Caroline. A few months back, she took it upon herself to share this boss workaround for a multi-step form and it blew our minds. This deserved to be a standalone post within our Tips and Scripts. If your lead gen form requires a date or set of dates, you might be interested in hooking up a “date picker” widget to make the interaction as easy as possible. While this is a feature we will one day incorporate into the core form builder in Unbounce, you can use the following set of steps to get it working today. 🚨 This is not an official Unbounce feature. [How To] Capture Date/Time In Hidden Form Field

Form submission date and time is captured automatically by Unbounce. If you scroll over any lead record in the View Leads section of your page, you’ll see the submission date and time appear in the left hand column. On CSV exports, date/time will be the lead column. However, this doesn’t come through as a field when the lead is emailed. If this is something you’re looking to achieve, we’ve created a quick script that’ll help you out! With the help of some javascript, you can generate the current date/time and set it to a hidden field on your form. Whether you’re just getting started building your landing pages in Unbounce, or if you’re a seasoned pro looking to get the most out of Smart Traffic – there’s something in here for you. Variant Creation – Where To Start? First I’ll explain why to create variants for your landing pages: When you build just one landing page, you’re limiting yourself from being able to appeal to a wider audience. Even with traditional A/B testing, that’s still suggesting that there’s a “one-winner-fits-all” landing page, which as we’ve discovered isn’t true at all. By creating multiple variants, you’re giving your landing pages the highest chance of success by appealing to many different kinds of visitors. [How To] Add Split Screen Scroll To Your Landing Pages

Hey everyone! I asked, and you delivered! A few weeks ago I requested your feedback for what kind of content we should be sharing in the community, and there was one particular response that I thought was awesome: We want your feedback! As a designer at an agency, I love getting extra scripts and flair that I can add to pages because it not only wows the clients but really makes our account managers excited. I use scripts like adding favicons, smooth scrolling, and fixed headers on almost every page I create. Adding these in with expandable sections and tabbed content has really made my pages look like they weren’t made in a drag and drop page builder. Hi folks! I tuned into a webinar hosted by ProdPad the other day and they mentioned the effectiveness of their Slack community. Before I get ahead of myself here I wanted to see if anyone here would be interested in a Slack channel. I imagine it would include 10-15 different members of the Unbounce team (representing an assortment of departments) to answer questions and have conversations. [How to Add] Dynamic Click To Call Buttons

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you needed a Click To Call feature in your Unbounce landing pages or popups? For example, perhaps you have different phone numbers for different locations, and need DTR functionality to work within a link (when the URL the link points to changes based on the value in the URL parameter). Up until this point, Unbounce DTR couldn’t change button or text link URLs. I’m happy to announce that those days are over, thanks to our in-house developer/marketer/designer/wizard @Luis_Francisco 💥 Luis added DTR to the button and used jQuery to change the link text to include the URL parameter. How To Add A Favicon To Your Landing Page

One of the very first things I do when building any branded landing page is add an on-brand favicon. For those that don’t know, the favicon is the little brand icon on the tab in your web browser that tells you what site that tab is showing. It adds an extra layer of trust and keeps things on-brand at the browser level. We all need design inspiration from time to time. This category is here to help when you hit a wall and want to know what other marketers are doing, and get some inspo from some of the most beautifully designed landing pages. 💡 Pro tip: If you want to share your landing page, but don’t want to mess with your page stats, you can share specific variants of your landing page by adding /a.html, /b.html, /c.html, etc. to the end of your page URL, that way it won’t affect your Page View count.

3 Marketers Went Head-To-Head, Here Are The Results

One month ago, we put three (brilliant) marketers to the test to see who could generate the highest lift of a customer’s live campaign in Unbounce, and identify a new audience with the help of Smart Traffic. As marketers, we make landing pages in order to push the user to take a particular action (filling in a form, clicking on a button etc.). The way we usually do it is by using a combination of persuasive copy, testimonials, images & videos, customer logos, and a call-to-action (CTA). What if we used a content format that addresses the problems of each specific user and provided a personalized solution? And all this while collecting lead information as well.
