For the most part, your landing pages will get the majority of their traffic from targeted ads and marketing campaigns that allow you to have complete control over the traffic quality. But what if you wanted to share your pages on social media? By default, each social network will attempt to guess which content to grab from your landing pages, which is obviously not ideal as it often scrapes the wrong information. Luckily, there’s a simple way to override which content is scraped from your landing pages and optimize your pages for sharing by utilizing something called the Open Graph Protocol. This can be particularly handy for campaigns that involve a contest, or an event where you specifically want others to share the page with their respective networks on Facebook, Google+ or LinkedIn. Yes, that means you can copy and paste an element from one page or Popup to another! Easy peasy. Below are some important notes about using this feature: Copying page elements: You can select an element to copy either by clicking the Copy icon, or by using the CTRL+C command on your keyboard. You can multi-select elements by holding the “Shift” key and selecting items to be copied. The more the merrier! Pasting page elements: The copied item can be pasted either by clicking the Paste icon, or by using the CTRL+P command on your keyboard. If you’d like to reproduce elements between different accounts/clients , your best bet is to do one of the following: Open the Unbounce Builder twice, in two tabs within the same browser window. Here’s a script that allows you to apply a quick, smooth animation to any visual asset on your page when the page loads. This is handy if you’re trying to draw subtle attention towards a hero image on your page. A great example of this can be found when you visit Mailchimp’s website (see below). It’s been almost three solid years since I joined the Unbounce team. I remember my first day quite vividly, as it was jam packed with learning about landing pages, a/b testing, optimization and conversion rates. It all made sense, but it left me with one burning question… “What exactly is a good conversion rate?” 🤔 As it turns out, I wasn’t the only person who was curious. For the next three years I would be on the receiving end of this question, time and time again, by inquisitive marketers from all over the globe. And my response up until recently has generally been: “It depends.” 😳 … which is as about as uninformative as it is anticlimactic. The truth is, it’s incredibly difficult to say what a “good” or “bad” conversion rate is. There are an exuberant number of data points and factors that go into the equation; it’s nearly impossible for any one person to answer. Introducing the Unbounce Conversion Benchmark Report

Hey Folks! The Page Builder has been updated with a little UI change that improves the Bring Forward and Send Backward functionality. Now, when you move an an element on the z-axis, a small animated visual cue will demonstrate exactly where the asset is in relation to other objects. Technical jargon aside, the benefit is that it makes sending objects forwards and backwards  _way easier _because it’s now way easier to see. In fact, the only way we could make it any clearer would be to physically arrange the layers IRL.  Again, it’s not a huge overhaul - just a small tweak to make our lives a bit easier when building pages.  Thoughts? [Early Adopters]: Try our New Video Backgrounds Feature!

Update: April 12, 2016 We have now released this as a full feature to  all Unbounce customers.  Check out the full release post here.  One of the hottest design trends on the web right now is the use of video backgrounds , which should come as no surprise since bandwidth speeds are getting faster and web-browsers are becoming more robust. In fact, one of the most active threads in our own Community last year was: How can I create a YouTube Video Background? … which involved a fancy little javascript workaround that one of our developers put together (big shout out to Johnny!). While the script ended up working pretty well, it seemed to only fuel the demand from customers for us to actually build this into the page builder as a native feature. I’m happy to announce that thanks to our most recent Shipit Day, our wonderful developer Mark was able to build this as a real, built-in feature that’s ready for beta today. Hooray! Earlier this week we launched a new API Developer Community to help bring together devs from all over the world in a space where they could connect, build and share incredible integrations that were built using our API. Good news! We just updated our AWeber Integration to fully support AWeber Tags. Now when you collect new leads on your Unbounce Landing Page, those leads will automatically push over to AWeber with the correct tags in place; allowing you to send highly-targeted, automated emails quickly and easily. The process is simple. After you decide which AWeber list you’d like to send your leads to, just apply the tags you’d like to add by typing them in the Apply Tags field. Add multiple tags by separating them with a comma. With AWeber, tags can be used to trigger custom, automated email campaigns. This is great way to send personalized, contextual emails to the right prospects and customers, based on the tags you’ve applied. Today you’ll see the shiny new text editor in your Unbounce Builder The new Inline Text Editor makes it easier for you to make beautiful on-brand landing pages (and for us to add great new features like an expanded font library - coming soon). Check out a full walkthrough in Documentation » Editing text will be different since your last login, but all the text editing functionality that you rely on is still there, plus now you’ll be able to edit in context with the rest of your landing page or Convertable. If you’re not quite ready to make the switch yet, you can still temporarily switch back to the old text editor by going to Settings > Labs and unchecking the Inline Text Editor. This will disable the Inline Text Editor until we release this feature permanently into the builder. P.S. We want your feedback!
