Dynamic Image Replacement Using URL Parameters

Similar to Dynamic Image Replacement, this script will allow you to also swap out different images on the page based on a URL parameter. The code is actually quite simple. By including a image’s source URL as a value of a specific URL parameter you can swap it out with a default image on the page (which has been added via the page builder). Google Ads Conversion Tracking On Click

Tracking an Adwords conversion on the click of a button requires a small amount of custom code in Unbounce. A click event needs to be attached to the button in order to trigger the Adwords conversion code. [How to] Dynamically Change Background Image With URL Parameters

You’ve probably already heard of Dynamic Text Replacement. It’s a feature in Unbounce that you can use to replace the copy on your landing pages based on the value of a URL parameter. Thanks to one of our incredible community members (we’re talking to you, Phillip Barnes 😃), this is now possible with images on an Unbounce page, as well. But what about a background image? [Add] Fixed CTA On Scroll 2.0

Exactly one year ago, we shared a workaround that will allow you to add a fixed CTA on scroll to your Unbounce landing pages. But why use a 5 step workaround when you can use a 2 step workaround?! We’ve created a revamped version of script that will add a fixed CTA on your landing pages, but rather than ‘appear’, it will stick to the top when scrolling. In a world of smaller and smaller attention spans maybe you want to make sure someone always has the option to convert on the page. No matter where they happen to be. Anchor links are great for this. But maybe you want to take it one step further? Note: Always test and be very cautious when using this on mobile. In fact, don’t use it on mobile. It’s annoying and makes the page harder to navigate. New Feature: Improved Sort and Filter 🎉

Hi everyone! Last week Unbounce released a few improvements to how pages can be sorted and filtered on the all pages list. These are some much needed improvements that we hope will save you some time and allow for easier ways of identifying pages that are in need of some attention or that are currently in an active test. Read on for the specifics! Improved Sorting Options When viewing the list of all pages in a client it is now possible to sort pages using by stats. Pages can now be sorted by: number of visitors number of conversions overall conversion rate for a page Improved Filtering Options Three new filtering options have been added to the page list view. It is now possible to filter pages by the “traffic mode” currently enabled on the page. The traffic modes that can be used as a filter are: Standard A/B Testing Smart Traffic The ability to filter by traffic mode is meant to allow for an easier way to monitor pages that are in an active test or optimization. Removal of Jquery Dependency

[How-to] Dynamic Form Confirmation URL's Using Browser Redirects

Do you want to send your leads to a different URL, depending on what they selected on your form? Now you can! The form in Unbounce will need to be set up using the form confirmation dialogue. The script works by triggering a browser redirect almost immediately after the form submit action takes place (about 1 millisecond). The URL for the redirect will be set in the javascript. NOTE: The script will only work if the form is placed on the main page. The redirects will not fire if the form is in a lightbox. [How to] Save Partial Form Responses from Abandoned Forms in Local Storage

What happens if a visitor is in the middle of filling out your form but they get called away? Or maybe they accidentally close the tab or hit that refresh button? Forms are tedious at best, having to fill out the same field more than once is downright torture for some people. What if there was a way to save a users responses while they were filling out the form, so they could leave and come back without losing their progress? That would be pretty great hey? Especially if you’ve got a long form or have multiple steps involved. Well local storage and Garlic.js to the rescue! [Important] Updates to Your Wordpress Installation

Due to upcoming PCI DSS requirement changes, and in order to meet GDPR compliance, we have to retire support for TLSv1.0 or TLSv1.1 protocols on May 1st, 2018. We will only support the TLSv1.2 protocol moving forward after May 1st. Okay, so what does this mean? If you’ve received an email or an in-app message from us within the last month notifying you about these changes it means that one or more of the domains currently being used within your Unbounce account is on an outdated version of TLS. If the server your Wordpress instance is hosted on is using outdated TLS protocols it will need to be updated to support TLS 1.2. If your protocols are not updated, traffic to your Unbounce landing pages won’t be properly secured over HTTPS, or could even fail to access your pages. Further, if you offer e-commerce functionality on your Unbounce landing pages, you will not be able to process credit card or PayPal payments. Exclude a Script Applied Via Script Manager from Executing on a Page

Have you added a script via script manager but would like to prevent it from firing on specific pages on the domain? Now you can! This script works by looking for a word or string of characters in the URL of a page. If the URL contains the specified characters the script applied via script manager will not fire. 🚨 This is not an official Unbounce feature. [FIXED] API Bug: Currently Leads Containing Emojis Cannot be submitted via POST to the Unbounce API

UPDATE: This issue has been resolved. Emojis will now be stripped from leads submitted via POST to the API endpoint. We are currently experiencing an issue with the API and submitting leads via POST that contain emojis. If a lead is sent via POST to the Unbounce API and there is an emoji character contained in any of the fields the lead will not make it through to our database. Unfortunately leads that are lost due to this issue cannot be recovered. We are currently working on a fix for this bug and hope to have the issue resolved as soon as possible. For the time being emoji characters cannot be submitted via the Unbounce API. Apologies for an inconvenience.

Videos can be a big part of any marketing campaign. When used correctly they are a great way to give your potential lead some more information on why they should convert. So what if you have a few different videos that you want to use depending on the audience you are targeting? What if you have A LOT of videos that you want to use? I guess you’ll need to create a landing page for each one……. Now you can dynamically change the videos with URL parameters!
