What is the best integration for ecommerce

A potential client has requested a page where a visitor can choose from a variety of items for purchase. I’m tempted to suggest they find someone to develop an ecommerce website. But, first I want to see how Unbounce might handle this.What is the best app to use that works with Unbounce.Does anybody have a URL they might suggest as an example?

Forcing Text to Appear on Top of Full-Width Boxes

Sometimes I want a skinny full width box to appear on a Hero so I can place text on top of the box. This is useful when the text needs standout against a complex hero image. How to Create the Faded Logo Effect

Most of my pages include what I call a Logo Bar. It’s a section that features the logos of brands that are suppliers, partners, clients, affiliates, etc. Well-known brands can create some authority by association. Here’s an example. Logo Bar31334×206 13.7 KB In the past, I would create the faded logos in Photoshop and make them compliment the color scheme of the page. Finally a “light bulb” came on and I realized this was easy to accomplish in Unbounce. Place the solid black logo images in a new section. Insert a box on top of the images (make sure the images do not go “inside” the box. Choose a color and opacity for the box that achieves the effect you need. For the section background, choose Solid Color and use the same settings as the box. Preview the result and adjust the opacity as needed.

Tip: Selecting two objects that are very close together

Sometimes I want to select two objects that are extremely close together. Typically, I will hold down the shift key and click both, but when they are close together that is difficult if not impossible. One option is to create a transparent box around both (if they will consistently maintain close spacing). Another method I found is the following: Select the 1st object by clicking on its name in the Contents window. Then, click on the 2nd object in the editing window. This results in both objects being selected. Now, I can use my arrow key or shift+arrow to move them. Preferably, I would be able to click any combination of objects by clicking on their name in the Content windows. But that doesn’t work.

App for storing landing pages as PDF or PNG

One of my clients requires storing all landing pages in a PDF format into a shared document account for archival purposes. I’ve been using a chrome extension Full Page Screen Capture (gofullpage.com). The free version does a great job of scanning a page of any length and allowing you to save as a PNG or PDF file. I recently upgraded to the Premium version for only $1/mo. This allows me to attached a URL link to the page so it can be launched from Adobe Acrobat if the page is still in a published mode. It also allows me to add text annotations. So, I’m adding the date the page was published along with notes. A lot of my pages are iterations of prior pages. So, the notes are simply what has been added, deleted or changed.

Facebook Like Button on Mobile not working

I used the FB code generator to create the js and html for a Like button. It seems to work fine on desktop, but on mobile, I get prompted to log-into FB. Of course, my iPhone is already logged in. Any suggestions?

Heat maps and variants

Heat map analytic apps like crazy egg and hotjar don’t have the ability to distinguish between Unbounce variants.(when A/B split testing). Does anyone know of an app that will do that?

Lightbox Speed Improvement

I’ve noticed my lighboxes have been loading faster lately, around1-2 seconds vs up to 8 seconds in the past. Has something been done to improve the speed?

Email in lightbox doesn't work

I spent an hour trying to discover why the email action didn’t work in my lightbox. Such as text or a button with the action - mailto:myemail@gmail.com I finally discovered that links in lightboxes work for URLs just fine, but not for launching an email on my iPhone. The desktop seemed okay. Maybe this has something to do with my iPhone settings. I might be able to research this and find an answer, but it’s not my phone I care about, it’s the visitors. For now, I’m not putting any email links in lightboxes. Actually, I’m about ready to stop using lightboxes totally. I have some that take 10 seconds to load, so basically useless.

Iframe mobile scrollbar

When I put an iframe into my page the desktop view is good and I want to include the scrollbar since it is a long registration form. The scrollbar disappears in mobile. I’ve googled this topic and found lots of people chatting about how to fix it and it’s not really an Unbounce issue. The remedies get technical quickly - various approaches and I tried a few with no success. I may not have followed the instructions accurately. I’ve learned when grabbing code from tech blogs they leave out what they consider “obvious”.

Chat embed code not working on desktop

I have an embed code from the purechat app. I added it with the Custom HTML object. I have a duplicate version of the page that is essentially an older version - the only difference is the duplicate has the suffix OLD in the URL. The app works perfectly in the desktop and mobile versions.(on the OLD site) So, I added the same script to my live URL. However, it only works on mobile. The Desktop is not working at all. I’m stumped. The live URL is https://www.telecalmprotects.com/fl/ The old version is https://www.telecalmprotects.com/fl_old/ If you launch either site, please refrain from starting a chat since there are people standing by.

I see various options to set the definition of a conversion. If I have a button with the action to Send An Email; I think that should also be an option as a definition of a conversion. Is there a way to do this?

Using dynamic text to populate a form

I want to have a form on one landing page and then when submitted, have a button (link) that launches a 2nd page to ask additional questions? The 2nd page would have a more detailed form, but I would like the email address and name fields to auto-populate from the responses provided on the first form. Another option to achieve the same goal would be to have a short form with 3-4 questions, then an option to Submit Now - or answer more questions - then have a Submit button after the additional questions are answered. But, I have no idea how to do that.

My desktop version won't update

There is very weird. I’m been making changes to this page all day. Now, the desktop version won’t reflect my latest changes. But, the mobile version does update every change. I thought that I just needed to clear cache (didn’t work) Tried incognito mode (didn’t work) Tried Explorer vs Chrome (didn’t work) Rebooted my pc (didn’t work) Tried a differ computer - a Chromebook that has never gone to this URL (didn’t work) The all show the older version. https://www.telecalmprotects.com/fl/ The old version has a Call to Learn More button on the desktop view. The current version has a Request More Info button (which launches an email) There are other changes, but that is the most obvious difference. Any clues what is going on?

Google Chrome Privacy Error

I’m getting Privacy Error warning from Chrome - but only when the site name is entered into the search bar without the www preface. Example: magnitudemarketing.net/test3/ When I enter the www.magnitudemarketing.net/test3/: I get no errors. The error message is: NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID Any help appreciated. Ed

Google Chrome says my site not secure

In my domain tab, the page is listed as Working and Secure. When a user goes to my page in google chrome, there is text: “Not secure” just before the URL. The URL is listed as: http://go.edstanfield.com/offer/?source=user_profile--------------------------- I’m not sure why the extra text is there, meaning this part: ?source=user_profile--------------------------- Maybe that indicates the issue. How do I fix this?

How to control nesting of objects

I need a direct way to control nesting of contents. For example, a text box might be nested inside a graphic box and I want to pull it out, or vice versa. Dragging one of these works sometimes, but I want to be able to control and change these relationships from the content menu not from the page itself (sometimes it’s crowded and I don’t have fine control). This is driving me nuts - any help appreciated.

Optimizing Mobile text boxes and more

I know about sizing a text box in mobile in order to keep the desktop version constant. In the scaling bar, the starting value is 50, what does that represent? When editing inside the text box, is there anything that does NOT affect the desktop: font, spacing, styles, line feeds… anything? I recall reading something about holding down ctrl for making something unique to mobile, what was that referencing? I understand that scaling anything seems to NOT affect the desktop. This includes sizing sections. Is there a chart somewhere that lists all the things that do NOT affect the destkop?
