Cannot load page Overview window

Hey @matt.rodriguez! At the moment we are experiencing degraded service due to an outage from Amazon Web Services - which is the platform that hosts Unbounce itself and customer pages. Pages in-app may take longer to load (or load blankly) and you may not be able to access the page builder or republish new changes. Any published content should continue to work normally though (your pages should load and the forms should still continue to collect today) but navigating through the app may not work. We are keeping an eye on things though (our technical team and devs are updating our status page https://status.unbounce.com and then I’ve also been encouraging people keep an eye on https://status.aws.amazon.com/ as well.) Because of the severity of the outage (this branches out well beyond Unbounce to different services and is getting quite a bit of media attention) I am hopeful that we’ll see some improvements soon! If you do have any further concerns or would like to take a closer look at

Make a Section Fit Content

Hey @Kiril! Welcome to the community. 👋 Right now the positioning of all your elements in Unbounce’s builder is static - so the page sections are unfortunately not able to dynamically change in size based on the content inside of them. They’ll stay at whatever dimension you set them at. You might be able to achieve something like this with third party code (perhaps a review widget that can expand as new reviews come through) though I’m afraid we don’t have a tool like this built directly into Unbounce at the moment. You might also be able to use a carousel/image slider widget as well (so you could just add in new reviews as needed, though this might need to be a manual process) so rather than the page sections getting longer/needing to be changed, the reviews could shuffle horizontally instead. Apologies I don’t have a solution right out of the box for you though. Perhaps one of our community members might be able to chime in with some ideas!

Firefox bug: text getting "style" attribute with transform: scale

Hey all, 👋 <script>window.ub.page.disableTextAdjustments = true;</script> You should be able to add this script to your page(s) under the “Javascript” section of the builder. In most cases our support team has found that this resolves the formatting issue on most browsers - particularly with Firefox! It disables part of the text formatting setup that Firefox seems to take issue with. I’ve also give our technical team the heads up that this continues to be coming up for customers. I know it is something we’re in the know of, though I am not certain whereabouts on the roadmap it is toward a fix right now with the Smart Builder Beta currently in progress and the release of Smart Copy. I hope that this script workaround will work in the meantime! Feel free to give me a shout back here or at support@unbounce.com if you are still having any trouble!

Console error with google tag manager

Hi @Pedro_Ewerton, If everything is working then I wouldn’t be too alarmed, no. I apologize I don’t have something a bit more actionable to share here. After playing around a bit with the Javascript console on the page the pop-up is launching from, I found that removing GTM from the page also seems to remove the console error as well - so it might be something amiss inside of GTM itself versus the Unbounce pop-up. This makes it difficult for me to know for sure what could be causing it - but again, if everything is running as expected, then I wouldn’t worry too much. If something does happen to break or you think something is no longer working, feel free to give us a shout at support@unbounce.com and we can always take a closer look together. 🙂

Console error with google tag manager

I’ve been taking a look at your setup, though nothing is really standing out in terms of where this console might be coming from, or why. Just to confirm with you again - is everything working? (ex. are you just nervous about the error?) Let me know when you have a quick moment! If something is broken/not tracking properly then we can always move this to a support ticket and I can loop in our techs!

Carrousel does not work

Hey again @mbenkirane, I had a quick look on this end and I agree with you that it seems probable that the Javascript is a likely culprit with the carousel not working on the other variant. It looks like the script on the non-working variant is supposed to be working with some arrows that take the visitor up/down the page? I looked in Preview, though I am not seeing that effect working on my end. If you’d like, we can chat about this here, otherwise do you think we could do a deeper dive into this in an e-mail thread? Download images from Image gallery

Hey @Susanna! The above workaround should still do the trick, however the image has to be placed somewhere on your landing page when it is published. You won’t be able to download it from the page builder itself. But if you publish your page with the image on it, you can do the right click/save option. Let me know if you’d like me to create an example to show you!

Redirect from Unbounce and pass through URL parameters

Hey @cfen, Alex from Unbounce Support here! 👋 At the moment our native 301/302 redirect feature is (unfortunately) not able to pass along UTM/URL parameters. I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news with that. There could be a third party tool that helps to accomplish this - or perhaps one of the community leaders might have a workaround to offer! However I’m afraid it’s expected behaviour for the UTMs not to pass with the redirect with the way this feature is built right now. You normally see this feature used in the short term if an old page has been retired and you need to redirect visitors to a new URL - you don’t often have these redirects going for very long, so that may be why. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that someone might have some ideas to try, and I’ll be sure to let you know if I hear of anything on my end in the meantime!

Opt-in to thank you page for affiliates

Hey @Non-Secure , (welcome to the community!) Do you per chance have an example of a transition page in action that I can reference? If I can take a look at what you are looking to recreate, I can try and connect you with some ideas/resources. Unbounce has a direct integration with AWeber (if you are using Unbounce!) but we do integrate with a couple of other tools depending on your needs. If you just need an e-mail tool for building lists then Mailchimp is very popular, I would say. A lot of Unbounce customers also use some of the bigger ones like Salesforce, Hubspot, and Marketo too. As I mentioned, the choice is really dependent on your needs. You might not necessarily require all the bells and whistles that Salesforce offers - whereas if you need something a bit more than an e-mail list (and perhaps some CRM-type services) then AWeber is not a bad choice to use at all. Landing Page - feedback (Cleaning Service)

Hey @grouph_revou! +1 to a lot of the things that @SeanKirby covered. If you are offering a discounted service/voucher than I would to pivot the contents of your page around that. You could also maybe point out the regular price to highlight how much people are saving versus your standard pricing. People love a deal! I would also maybe look into using some larger images (for the ‘Services’ section at least) - the images themselves are probably fine, but making them larger could help visitors see that these are actual photos of your team working versus thumbnails you might have saved/grabbed elsewhere. Which is okay too, don’t get me wrong, but I think making them a bit bigger here would be beneficial. Social proof would also be an excellent addition here for something like a cleaning service. Or maybe even some before/after photos if you have any on-hand. What are some success stories you and your business have? I initially thought that your page was advertising an industrial cleaning

I see the image of the kid holding the controller (with the different screens) but above that I am only seeing the blue background. image2808×1452 477 KB You can see what I mean here. There’s just quite a bit of empty blue space - so I would maybe experiment with some different ways of managing this space, ex. adding a background image, a video background, a pattern, etc. Just some contrast to your text and your images so it isn’t this big blue abyss! Hope this helps! 🙂

Hi @VivekAyer! I think you’re off to a pretty good start here - though I do have a few suggestions when it comes to sprucing things up a little bit. When the page loaded, I thought for a quick moment that my browser had bugged out or that perhaps an image at the top of the page was just taking a million minutes to load, ex. the blue background. Have you considered adding a background image? Maybe a screenshot of the product in action or an industry shot of somebody playing a video game? “Begin with gaming costs,” - this made sense after I had read a bit more on the page, but I’d consider experimenting (maybe an A/B test?) with some different copy. Would it be appropriate to change this to “video games”? Gaming could mean a lot of different things to different people. I like the section with NOTIFY, AUTOMATED, and TEACH. That’s nice and specific. Two of your testimonial images are of the same person and the one on the right side is from “Parent c,” so that may need to be updated if you’

Hey @bh.fooda, (welcome to the community!) I don’t think that this is something you would keep track of on Unbounce’s end. Most chat widgets out there (very likely to include the one that Meagan recommended above) should have this kind of analytics built into them, ex. Chat A began at 12:00pm on Link 3. So to answer your question, I would (cautiously) say yes that this is possible. It would just be dependent on the chat tool that you decide to move forward with and then digging into its features to find out if something like is supposed. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be!

Unbounce and GTM: Forms firing twice no matter what method I use

slvex: I tried the Custom Event with event name “gtm.formSubmit but that didn’t work. General form submission same thing. They fire, but they fire twice. My LP is hosted on its own subdomain. No matter what I try, it doesn’t fire or it fires twice when I submit the form and get the popup confirmation. Hey @slvex! I’ve just opened a support ticket for you (through our normal support gateway) since I think this might involve a bit of a deeper dive into your page setup. Keep an eye open for an e-mail coming for me shortly! If the solution we discover seems like it could be something impacting other customers then we can definitely post it here for those who may be running into similar challenges though!

My changes will not appear on my new published version!?

@Jade_Mendoza (CC @Finge) Hey Jade! Alex from Unbounce here. There are a few variables (particularly with Wordpress domains!) that might explain why changes you’ve made in the builder are not reaching the published page. I’d love to take a closer look! Would you be able to send over an e-mail to support@unbounce.com? Or if you’d like to message me your e-mail address I can open a support ticket for you. The most common reason we see this with Wordpress domains are caching plugins. While these are great to make sure your non-Unbounce pages load speedily, they can delay the changes you’ve made in Unbounce from reaching your published URLs. We tend to encourage adding your Unbounce URLs in as exceptions/exclusions for caching plugins. But we can definitely dig into this more once we’ve connected!
