Datepicker Field with Custom Validation

Are you able to access the HTML of your form fields? There’s a default field type called “date” which provides date picker functionality in MM/DD/YYYY format that also prevents users from entering invalid date formats. You can use this by adding type="date" to the list of the input field’s attributes.

How to track 'email sends' as conversions

For those of you who have been following this problem, I’ve come up with a kind of hacky solution to track email conversions through Unbounce. This requires a little more technical know-how but I’ll try to explain it as best as I can. Add a new Text field to your page. Position it where you want your button to be. Edit the text box’s source such that it has a hyperlink element within a paragraph element. The hyperlink tag must have a unique id value. Within your hyperlink tag insert text within a span element with an optional class. I formatted mine as follows: <p> <a href="http://#email@example.com" id="emailButton"> <span class="label">Send an Email</span> </a> </p> Give your hyperlink an anchor that begins with http://# The editor will recognize this as a link and will add it as a trackable conversion. You can add additional text after the # to make it easier to recognize. At this point clicking on the link will not actually

How to track 'email sends' as conversions

It seems to be a quirk about the way the editor handles link recognition. I’ve noticed that any link that starts with http:// or https:// is recognized as a link and can be tracked for conversions. The ‘Send an email’ click action creates a link that begins with a mailto tag, which isn’t a recognized link for conversions. I’m looking into writing a custom button to add a trackable link that also has the same behaviour as the standard Send Email button.

Problem with 'download file'

Hey Leonardo, It seems that the download file button is coded to open or download a linked file in a new tab. As far as I know there isn’t a way to directly edit the Javascript behavior of this button, so you might want to consider writing custom HTML to download from the form confirmation dialog without opening another tab.

Given the form field’s ID in the HTML, you can capture the input by using document.getElementByID('form_field_id').value Note that this method captures the current input in the form field at the time it is called, so you’ll have to be sure to grab the value as you execute the function you want to operate with that information.

Disallow edu and org email addresses

It’s certainly possible to use your current code with the additional changes you have in mind, but with its current implementation it could get a bit messy. Below is a modified return where the result is a negation of the test and the regex is a positive match instead of a negative lookahead. Should work as before but will now also fail the validation check when the email ends with .edu or .org return !(/\@(me|mac|icloud|gmail|googlemail|hotmail|live|msn|outlook|yahoo|ymail|aol|edu)\./.test(value.toLowerCase()) || /(\.edu|\.org)/.test(value.toLowerCase()));

Hey Brad, The script is implemented correctly, however the reason you can still enter non-numerical characters is because setting the field type to “number” only checks if the field is valid when you submit the form! I wrote an alternative script which checks the user’s input instead.
