Hey everyone 👋🏻

You may have heard about recent security enhancements to make Unbounce pages more resilient to cyberattacks, specifically DDoS attacks.

For these updates to take effect, we require customers using the WordPress domain plug-in—which lets you publish Unbounce pages directly to a WordPress domain—to upgrade to a new version of the plug-in. This can be done directly in WordPress, the latest version is 1.1.2.

As we finalize the transition to our new systems, we’re shutting down old versions of our WordPress plug-in. If you’re using an old version, you’ll want to update to 1.1.2 as soon as possible to keep your pages online. Here are the instructions:

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard

  2. Go to Plug-ins → Installed Plug-ins

  3. You’ll see an ‘update available’ notice for your Unbounce plug-in

  4. Hit ‘update now’

  5. Next, go to ‘Unbounce Pages’ in your WordPress dashboard

  6. Hit ‘Update WordPress Enabled Domains’

Note: You need to perform steps 5 and 6 even if you have automatic updates turned on for the plug-in. Without updating your Unbounce plug-in, any Unbounce pages published to WordPress domains will stop working.

This update should only take a few minutes. If you run into issues with the upgrade or if we can assist you, please contact our Support team via live chat when you’re logged in to Unbounce or by email. We’ll be happy to help you as soon as possible.
