Google Analytics script placement

I’m attempting to add google’s asynchronous analytics snippet to my unbounce pages. Which “placement” do you recommend using? Google’s installation guide says both: “Once you find the code snippet, copy and paste it into your web page, just before the closing head tag*” and “Copy the following code, then paste it onto every page you want to track immediately after the opening body tag” And then your unbounce FAQ shows a screenshot using the “before body end tag” placement

Newby question: what is meta data?

What is the Page meta data used for (title, keywords, description)? Or where is it displayed, if ever? Probably another stupid question sorry, I did google it quickly but no obvious answer stood out.

Text editing questions (vertical alignment and line spacing)

Is there a way to change the vertical alignment of text within a text box? It currently seems to be fixed to the top. Additionally, is there a way to change the size of the space created between lines of text when I hit “enter”? I don’t really know HTML/CSS, but I’m guessing these can both be easily modified through the source…if so, any pointers?

Non-programmer newbie: trouble adding CNAME

I’m using the “domainsinseconds” hosting service and it gives me the following error when I try to create a CNAME (I’m leaving the name blank with hopes of using “mydomain.com”, not a sub-domain): “ERROR - A record of a different type exists for the hostname @, could not create CNAME” …but I don’t see any existing records for @ (i.e. blank). I’m guessing this is a difficult problem to troubleshoot without logging in to my hosting service to poke around…any chance someone could do that for me? (attached image of DNS control panel…hopefully this doesn’t show any sensitive information)

"a" button in page preview

What happens when I click the “a” button in the upper left corner of the preview? It seems to change something, but my eyes aren’t catching it. (perhaps a tool tip on the button would help)
