What's your reporting setup look like?

Unbounce provides some decent analytics data on page performance, conversions, etc., but it exists in a silo. In other words, if we run Facebook ads to an Unbounce page, we have to look at both the Facebook ads data and the Unbounce data to match everything up and paint the big picture. So… is there a better way to report on the success of campaigns? What do you use? Do you just reference different sources of data (paid media sources, Google Analytics, Unbounce, etc.) or is there an all-in-one method or tool for getting that big picture of the success of your campaigns? Curious to hear your thoughts on this!

How do you prioritize your landing page experiments?

As the title says, I’m curious to hear if you use a specific framework or method for prioritizing what to test next on a landing page?There are many great frameworks out there, from ICE, PIE, PXL, and more.Each try to create a slightly different spin on the same basic question: If I have X potential test ideas, but I can only run 1 test at a time, which test should I run next?So yeah, if you have a framework that has worked well for you, share it below!

Issue with images loading on mobile?

Has anyone noticed an issue that’s popped up recently where some images don’t load on mobile, usually in Safari, and sometimes in Chrome?At first, I thought it was something with our setup on a specific page, but this has now happened across at least 5 clients, all using Classic Builder, all within the last 3 weeks.There is no common thread I can find other than it only happens on mobile. It has affected pages using the WordPress plugin as well as dedicated subdomains, and its not tied to a specific script (we tested all of that very thoroughly).It’s usually the images above the fold that don’t load. Anyone else noticing this lately?

Heatmaps and Session Recordings

Optimizing landing pages requires looking at the data, but which data?! It can be overwhelming.One of my favorite places to look for new insights in in heatmaps and session recordings. Many of us are probably familiar with Hotjar. They’re not bad. In fact, they did a lot to make this kind of tool mainstream.But more recently I’ve been digging in to a similar tool from Microsoft (yes!) called Clarity. It’s free, which is pretty cool, and has almost everything Hotjar has and then some. While not perfect, I think it’s really trying to be the “Google Analytics” of the qualitative feedback and testing space. We shall see!Any Clarity users here? What do you think of it? Or what do you use instead?

What's the best way to get street addresses to autocomplete?

I’d like to create a lead capture page where the street address form field autocompletes from a database of addresses. Tools like https://smartystreets.com/docs/plugin look like they would be helpful, but how would this be able to be implemented into an Unbounce page? Has anyone done this before?

What is a Five Second Test?

Have you ever heard of a five second test? If not, this is one of the fastest, most effective ways to get feedback on your landing pages to help improve conversions. Let’s explore what it is and how to set one up using 2 popular testing tools. What is a five second test? A five second test is a research method that helps you measure what information a landing page visitor remembers after seeing a design for just five seconds. Usually, you’re not showing the visitor the full design, but just the “above the fold” section. After showing the design for five seconds, you then ask a few simple questions. Choosing the best questions to ask The question you ask are entirely up to you, but here are the three questions that I ask most often: What do you think this page is about? What product or service do you think this brand is offering? What do you remember most vividly? Remember to keep your questions short, and not to ask too many. Nifty Tool for Providing Landing Page Feedback

Hey folks, I figured I’d switch things up and share a post about a free marketing tool I recently discovered. Note: I’m not affiliated with this tool in any way. I just found it and thought it was really helpful. The tool is called Bubbles and it lets you quickly add comments to any page online. This is great for giving quick feedback on a landing page. Prior to this, I was taking screenshots and then manually uploading them to an annotation tool and then sharing the link. It was a more complicated process. Tracking Conversions

I’m curious to hear how you track your conversions and attribute them back to the source. Are you primarily using Unbounce’s page-level data and adding it to a spreadsheet along with your media cost data, or primarily using Google Analytics goals, or using tracking scripts from your paid media platform (Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, etc.)? There are so many different ways to track conversion goals with Unbounce. Just wanted to see what everyone is using and see if there are any interesting tools or tactics to check out.

Does anyone here use a user analytics tool such as Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Heap along with their Unbounce landing page campaigns? If so, I’d love to hear how it’s working for you and also which of these tools you prefer. They seem to be the three big players in this space at the moment.

How to Speed Up Unbounce Pages?

Let me start by saying, I am impressed with how fast Unbounce pages load already, but in the pursuit of ever-improving optimization, I wanted to throw this question out to the community to see if there are any specific steps users can take to make the pages load even faster. Shaving off a few milliseconds can make a big difference, so what do you recommend? For WordPress pages, I just use a number of different plugins, a CDN, imagine optimization scripts, etc. But for Unbounce, I’m not sure where to start with optimization. Any ideas, tips, tricks, hacks for making Unbounce pages even faster?

How to Add Facebook Messenger to an Unbounce Page

Hey all, lately we’ve been testing the official Facebook Messenger live chat plugin, and got it working on an Unbounce page. Although it’s technically still in beta, I figured some of you may want to test it out as well, since it’s a fast, easy-to-use, and FREE live chat solution, directly from Facebook. So, here’s how to add Facebook Messenger to an Unbounce page. Enjoy! Here are the exact steps for getting Facebook Messenger set up on your Unbounce page: 1. Whitelist your domains First, you’ll need to whitelist your unbounce domain(s) with Facebook. Simply go to your Facebook business page, click on “settings,” then click on “Messenger Platform” from the sidebar on the left, and then scroll all the way down to the “Whitelisted Domains” section. Here you’ll put in the domain(s) you’re using with Unbounce that you want to install Facebook Messenger on. Make sure to include both “http” and “https” versions! 2. Has anyone tested tools like Proof, Fomo, or a similar script that adds a little social proof widget to the bottom on an Unbounce page? If so, did you find that they helped conversions at all? I see these types of things popping up on more and more sites now.

AdWords Call Conversion Tracking with Google Tag Manager

Has anyone here implemented AdWords Call Conversion Tracking with Google Tag Manager on an Unbounce page using this specific script from LunaMetrics? https://www.lunametrics.com/blog/2016/06/06/adwords-call-conversion-tracking-google-tag-manager/ If so, how do you adjust it for multiple phone number instances (all the same number) on the Unbounce same page, some of which are buttons, and others just text links? Any ideas?

Setting up Facebook Pixel at domain level

Hi, I’m setting up the Facebook pixel, and so I installed it as directed, at the domain level, using the Unbounce scripts manager. No problem there. However, now, I’m trying to set up Facebook conversions, only on my thank you pages. I am using standard events, so I modified the pixel code as directed by the Facebook instructions, and installed the new code–which includes "fbq(‘track’, ‘Lead’);–on my thank you page. When I load the page though, and check with Facebook’s pixel helper, I see 2 pixels fire. One is for the page view, and the other is for the lead. So, everything seems to be working, but I just wanted to check and see if this is the proper way to do it. Does the modified pixel code that was added at the page level basically override the pixel code that was placed at the domain level? Regards,

What does your browser testing process look like?

Today I was chatting with a few folks about the process we use to check out a finalized Unbounce page and make sure it looks great in different browsers and on different screen sizes. Thankfully, since Unbounce already does the heavy lifting for us and optimizes so much on the backend, we very rarely have any display issues (if any at all). But just to be safe, we always check before handing a page over to a client. My personal favorite tool for doing this is BrowserStack. It’s bascially a cloud-based tool that lets you see what your page will look like on all different types of devices and in all different types of browsers. (I’m not affiliated with them. Just a user/fan of the product). But obviously, there are other ways to go about this testing process. You don’t have to use a tool such as BrowserStack. You can simply check out your page on different devices for instance, if you have access to them. So, what does your browser testing process look like? Do you use a different tool?

What is the best live chat tool to use with Unbounce?

Do you use live chat on any of your pages? There are so many choice out there. We’re looking at Olark, Intercom, Zopim, and a few others. Would you recommend one over the others? Have you experienced any issues implementing any of these with Unbounce?

Smoother lightbox effect

You know what would be cool? A smoother lightbox effect. When clicking on lightbox buttons on live Unbounce pages, it seems like the lightbox pops up rather abruptly, and then it often takes a second or so for the content in the lightbox to appear. I’ve seen other lightbox popovers with a much smoother transition, that almost appear to “drop down” on the page, rather than just pop up. I’m probably not explaining it very well, but just curious if anyone else agrees that this would be a nice improvement. Just something to consider for the product roadmap. 🙂

Speed up the image uploader

The overall building experience in Unbounce is fun and intuitive. However, uploading and selecting images always presents some friction. It seems like the uploader interface loads slower than other elements within Unbounce, and it would be so much better with a “drag-and-drop” feature that so many other builders have. Just curious, are there any plans on the horizon to improve image uploading, both in terms of speed and in the user experience?
