Haha you want it all hey @Zoe_Tattersall?! To get more traffic to the blog, the thing that’ll have the most impact will be good ol’ keyword research and some careful attention to crafting your title tags and body copy. Other than that there are some things you can clean up through the SEO Yoast plugin like noindexing the author and date archives. Since you’re using categories and tags, there are opportunities to optimize those higher level pages for more general keywords like “Gluten free recipes” or “[some descriptor] breakfast recipes”. The best way to do that would be to add some unique copy to the top of those /category/ and /tag/ pages and optimize their title tags. Try going after some long tail keywords there because the baking/cooking space is pretty competitive. As for the URL consistency, I don’t think it’ll matter much to users. It’s more of a biz decision on your end when it comes to SSL and all that. And ya if you want to rank the lead gen pages on your root domain, it is

Hey @Zoe_Tattersall! I’m going to ask you a few questions to clarify your main concern. I’ll also shoot you a response to your question above based off what I understand. If it’s way off, let me know and I’ll #dobetter. First off, what is your main goal? To ensure the content on your blog ranks better? To make the content on your root domain rank better? The reason I’m asking is because each of those goals will have different recommendations. 1. Why Keyword Section on 'Page Properties'?

Hi Laurie! Search engines still look at word usage to determine what the page is about, but the meta keywords field (the one you mentioned in your question) doesn’t need to be filled out anymore. The search engines don’t pay attention to it. You should, however, fill out the Title and Description fields and include your keywords there. Remember that these two fields are what show up on the Search Engine’s results page so be sure to make your listing enticing to click on in addition to including your keywords.

Hey AJ, You brought up a valid concern re adding the meta robots “noindex” tag to lightboxes; however, doing so will not cause any indexation issues with your landing page. The reason being is that lightboxes are served up through a separate URL so they are not considered as part of the content of your landing page (in the eyes of search engines). Blocking the lightboxes from search engines is safe.  If you come across something unexpected happening, definitely let us know.

Hi Annette, As Stuart mentioned, HTTPS can sometimes have a small positive impact on page rankings (it’s thought that it is likely used as a tie breaker when two pages rank very closely), however, I’d like to add that HTTPS should not be used as an SEO strategy in and of itself especially if you ever consider transitioning an entire website over to it. Transferring an entire website to HTTPS can cause more harm than good if it isn’t done extremely carefully. It’s best to look at HTTPS as an improvement to user security. Can HTTPS hurt your SEO? I’m the SEO Manager here at Unbounce and I’d love to help shed some light on why your page isn’t ranking and what you can do to improve your chances of getting it higher in Google’s results. Hey Carrie, You can adjust your page’s Title Tag and Meta Description from inside the Unbounce page builder. This is the meta data that will be used on your page. If you’re using an SEO plugin like YOAST, the meta data from the plugin won’t get carried over to your Unbounce page. Are there any other aspects of SEO you are concerned about?
