Ahh I see where you’re coming from. The custom HTML block doesn’t actually do anything to link scripts and elements within it to each other. If your page is published and you have Chrome, try opening an “Incognito Mode” browser window (so that any previously set cookies aren’t enabled) and you should be able to confirm that your conversion count goes up by 1 even without clicking the button. The script I added just ensures that it finds the button with the “regpopbox_33086_dca1e65fbb” title, and attaches the $.get("clkg/http/"); script to it when that button is clicked. Hope that helps clarify things a bit!

Hey Glenn, on its own that will trigger a conversion for every visitor to the page, regardless of whether they click on the button. The script I included ensures the conversion is only triggered if the button is clicked. Let me know if it works!

If your button is triggering a javascript event instead of a regular link, you could try using ajax to send a request to “clkg” in the background before (or after) the script that your button is triggering executes. Does that make sense? jQuery makes this pretty easy. Somewhere in the script that your button calls, you should be able to include this: $.get("clkg/http/"); …which will send a call back to our server triggering a conversion for the page.

Hey Andi, Hristian’s answer is spot on (thanks Hristian!) but I just wanted to acknowledge your point. Holding the "ctrl"button (“command” on a Mac) while moving an element is actually a pattern that has existed in Unbounce for a while even back when we only had a desktop view and no mobile. We first introduced it because we saw the need to sometimes move elements (like an arrow pointing inward at a lead-gen form) outside the visual boundary of a page section, while still keeping it a part of that section so that they would stay together regardless of how the section scaled or shifted on the page. When we introduced Mobile Responsive, we didn’t want to reverse the way the “ctrl + drag” keyboard shortcut worked as that proved to be even more confusing (if holding “ctrl” in desktop ensured you didn’t re-parent the element, while holding “ctrl” in mobile made sure that you did.) That being said, we understand it presents a user experience problem the way it is, as it’s not very intuitive.

Identify conversions by device type?

Hey all, Just wanted to give a quick update: we absolutely want to provide a mobile/desktop breakdown of stats so that you can see how each is performing independently of each other. It’s at the top of the list for reporting/stats requests that we hear from lots of customers.  Carl (CTO) and myself did an AMA last week and talked about mobile/desktop reporting along with other plans for the roadmap in 2016. You can watch that recording over here… The TL;DR for stats though is that we are in the process of re-building our stats platform to enable us to capture and surface many more events that are happening on the browser side, as opposed to server side (where our stats logging sits today.) Because the Mobile and Desktop versions of your page are triggered by the size of the browser, and not the actual device (part of being truly responsive) Ñ we need client-side stats logging before we can surface that data to you in the app, and this is exactly what one of our squads is working toward

How to override default breakpoint?

Hey Christopher, in an ideal world (and one we are ultimately working towards) there would be no browser/device width that content is not optimized for. One of the challenges we faced when building out Mobile Responsive on our current Page Builder is that the flexibility in on our drag-and-drop builder, the ability to move elements anywhere you want and have total control over layout and positioning, is also one of the reasons why it’s harder to handle a “liquid layout” of content to accommodate all screen sizes like you might expect. Today we use what’s called “absolute positioning” to control where elements are placed on the screen. For the majority of customers, this flexibility of the page builder has been more important than optimizing the edge-cases where a screen or browser is in an sub-optimal state like you have described. This is an area we do intend to evolve over time though as we gather data on whether those edge cases are growing. Hope that helps provide some context.

How to override default breakpoint?

Hey Christopher, Joe and teamriab! The decision to set the mobile breakpoint at 600px was made based on finding the largest common viewport widths from the majority of mobile devices. As teamriab (and Justin earlier in this thread) point out Ñ you will get a different result if you look at your page in a web browser on the desktop at 768px vs. a tablet like the ipad in portrait mode at 768px. The tablet devices should automatically render the desktop version of your page, but shrink it down enough to fit the entire screen (so that it’s not clipped.) Because most landing pages are generally simpler and less interactive that your average website, showing the desktop version on a tablet has proved to be effective enough for most campaigns. I completely understand if this isn’t the case for you though, and would love to hear more about your tablet and 600px+ traffic that you feel is being affected.  We are working towards building in more visibility around mobile vs. desktop reporting, but

Lol, I like your solution too Stuart! The scripting route always allows the workaround to scale using the Script Manager when you have multiple pages (you could change all checkbox labels at once if you like doing it your way.) Many ways to skin a cat 🙂

Add a Link (hyperlink) to Text on the Form (for terms & conditions)

Hey guys, just thought I’d chime in with an alternative option: If you “hide” the label for the checkbox field, you can drag a new text element in its place (from the panel on the left) and customize that text element as much as you want (including adding a hyperlink.) It’s not perfect, but it’s a fairly straightforward solution to customizing field labels in general.  Cheers!

Unpublish Page

Hi Marnix, Absolutely things have changed! Unpublishing a page is very easy, just navigate to the overview screen for your page in the app and select “Unpublish Page” from the menu in the top right corner. See this screenshot for what I mean: Let me know if that doesn’t help. Cheers!

Hey everyone,  I’m not sure how we missed this, but we rolled out an improvement to our forms for this very problem a little while ago! When you are editing your form, you can now provide separate values for the label and the field name/ID. By default, the field name/ID is generated automatically based off of the label, but you can now uncheck a “Auto-generate from Field Label” checkbox and provide your own. This is possible with any field type, but here’s an example of how you would accomplish this thread’s original problem: Let us know if you still aren’t able to accomplish what you need. New Feature: Integrate Google Analytics + Event Tracking with Script Manager

Hey Lars, I’m one of the developers who worked on the Script Manager feature here at Unbounce. I’ll start by detailing how to get at the code yourself:  - Add the GA Script to one of your domains and publish it.  - Go to a page under this domain and navigate to the Unbounce Page Builder.  - Click the “Javascripts” button in the bottom left.  - When you bring up the Javascripts panel it should have a left sidebar with the title “Scripts on this Domain”. Select the Google Analytics script and you can see the code our GA script will publish to your pages. We have designed the script to integrate with the features and components available in the Unbounce Page Builder out of the box. We have set the script to track things like:  - The page view, where the page variant id is included in the URL parameters for easy segmenting.  - Form submissions.  - Button clicks.  - Image clicks.  - Standard outbound link clicks.  - Special click tracking identifiers for social links such as Facebook, Twitt

Can you copy a form confirmation dialog page to another landing page?

Hey everyone, We recently released a “copy & paste” feature that is actually quite powerful and will allow you to do just this. You can now copy any element (form, page section, text, etc…) from a page and paste it into another page even if you have it open in another browser tab or window. You could copy the Page Sections straight form one form confirmations to another, or even easier is if you copy the form from one page and paste it in another, the form confirmation dialog will be copied over as well. Hey Lars! Thanks so much for the feedback, I couldn’t agree more with you. User Experience improvements like the ones you mentioned are very important, but much harder to identify as a community than feature requests that solve specific problems. Our UX team thinks about this stuff daily though.  We do have some plans to tackle most of what you’re mentioned already. The first of which is enabling you to re-publish your page without leaving the Page Builder which will make that process much faster. That improvement will go out this month. Load time of the pages list and page overview are another big one that are on the list. We actually have a prototype of a shift in UI we’re hoping to take to make the whole browsing experience of the app be a lot faster and more intuitive. SSL certification

@craig I missed your comment as well, sorry about that. A Facebook app is not something we have created yet, but it is certainly a good idea. We’ve tested our SSL solution with the custom tab apps that you mentioned, but I understand the issues of speed. As for your question about allowing customers to use their own certs Ñ Paul, our Product Manager, answered that for another customer over here…
