Referral Sources Tracking

Hi, I’m new here and I’m trying to understand how the UTM tags work. We created a landing page to promote our Careers opportunities and the main channels that we will be sending the link are emails and LinkedIn message (not ads). I will create a unique URL for each channel but wondering if this will work as they are not ads. Also, the main goal of this campaign will be people accessing the page (number of visitors). The page will have a form, but it won’t be our conversion goal. I’m wondering if the referral source tracking will work on this case and how. We really want to trach where the traffic is coming from and I would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction. Many thanks, Camila

Should Google Analytics and Tag Manager both be active in script manager?

Hello, I’ve not noticed any issues in the past in tracking page activity but while trying to set up a new goal I found that Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics scripts are both enabled in the script manager. Should I be removing GA or is it fine to have both?

Background Video Formats?

I see that you can use Vimeo, YT, etc hosted links, but when trying to use a .mp4 that’s hosted on my client’s site it’s not compatible. Question is, are only video hosting services compatible? Or is there a video format that can be hosted on my own?

Any Slider Recommendations (like SlideDeck) that work with UnBounce

Does anybody have some ideas? I’m not very tech savvy, but with some good instructions, I can usually get the job done. Any ideas for sliders that have some good documentation? I really like UnBounce, but not having a slider “widget” or partnership seems like a big blind spot for the product.

Hi Community, I’m trying to add a open URL in a light box to a HTTPs and I’m getting the error “domain.com refused to connect” is there a custom script that can be implemented on either Unbounce or the main site to bypass this connection error? Thanks in advance!!

Validate field then go to next page

I am trying to set up a login page or at least a workaround login page. When the user clicks ‘Login,’ I want to redirect that user to another page but only if he/she entered the correct password. Security is not a concern at all here. I just need it to look like it is secure. I completely understand how not secure this is but it is a formality. I also want to direct that user based on the drop down he/she selected. Here is the page I am talking about: https://wholesale.tusk.com/login/ Right now I am using an Unbounce form and to get this look and feel but I want to use those form fields as ‘text fields.’ Since it is a form, I would like to record the data that is entered like name/company name as you can see on the page. Any help with this would be great! Thanks.

Tracking conversions - WooCommerce & Google Analytics

Hi! I’m new to Unbounce and am just hoping to get clarity before I get too far into all of this - I am setting up an Unbounce landing page which will lead to my customers checking out via a WordPress/WooCommerce checkout. If I am planning on using UTM tracking, will my conversions track through? Or is there anything additional that I’ll need to set up? Thanks for your help!! Ben

Form Redirects To Confirmation When No Form Completed

Hi The form is configured to redirect to a thank you page on form submission. However, when you click the form button with the form blank it still redirects to the thank you page rather than showing form errors. Google Analytics isn't recording Unbounce Leads

Hi All, I am in a bit of a conundrum here. I’ve read several threads here and as well as did my research to ensure that Google Analytics is capturing the Unbounce leads via destination but it doesn’t record them. So, I have a simple thank you page “www.abc.me/thank-you-en” – and I’ve tried to up set-up the goal with the destination by following two methods: Regular expression: /thank-you-en/.±form_confirmation.html Regular expression: /thank-you-en/a-form_confirmation.html I’ve previously also tried: equal to: /thank-you-en & /thank-you – but no joy. Interestingly, destination goal for website purchases is working perfectly fine. I’ve also “checked” Bot Filtering > Exclude all hits from known bots and spiders as I read somewhere to do so. Can someone please advise what it is that I could be doing wrong? Thank you!

GTM Not Recognizing Form Submission Events

I had been using GTM to send conversion events. In preview mode, I had noticed that the Form Submission event trigger isn’t firing on my page when a form is submitted. Is this related to the recent removal of jQuery? A gif of the error: <img src="https://imgur.com/0SVMTR0>

Hi there, as we want to pre-fill mailchimp merge tags into an unbounce form ([How-to] Pre-Fill MailChimp Merge Tags Into Unbounce Forms), we’re dealing with the problem of how to avoid PII being sent to our GA. Recording new leads twice

Hi there, in the past weeks, we’ve seen our standard unbounce forms to record leads twice. Every time someone enters his details on this page https://m.vimcar.de/mandanteninfo_zwei_ebook_bestellen/, we would get the lead details immediately two times. How to Speed Up Unbounce Pages?

Let me start by saying, I am impressed with how fast Unbounce pages load already, but in the pursuit of ever-improving optimization, I wanted to throw this question out to the community to see if there are any specific steps users can take to make the pages load even faster. Shaving off a few milliseconds can make a big difference, so what do you recommend? For WordPress pages, I just use a number of different plugins, a CDN, imagine optimization scripts, etc. But for Unbounce, I’m not sure where to start with optimization. Any ideas, tips, tricks, hacks for making Unbounce pages even faster?

Email Validation in HTML5

Something I just noticed on some of the pages I’ve been testing… HTML5 email validation allows for all “valid” emails… So this includes intranet mail on intranet sites where “John@doe” could be perfectly valid or maybe development sites where “test@localhost” could be valid. As Unbounce is not designed for either of these cases would it be possible to get a regex pattern in the email fields by default to ignore anything without a . after the @ ? stackoverflow.com Why does HTML5 form-validation allow emails without a dot? html5, email-validation asked by WEFX on 06:29PM - 13 Dec 13 UTC

410 Error on link /clkn/-redirect with different host domain

Hi there, for SEO-reasons we run all our landing pages behind a top-level domain (no sub) and have set up a CNAME just for the domain used within Unbounce. If we now place an external link on any unbounce landing page the click-tracking redirect fails with a 410 Error “We’re sorry, but the link you followed appears to be invalid.”. If we access the same page through the subdomain page, the link works fine. Now the question: Why do you validate the hostname on the redirect trackings? Does not work: https://phraseapp.com/lp/hello-world/clkn/https/www.eventbrite.de/ Does work: https://lp.phraseapp.com/lp/hello-world/clkn/https/www.eventbrite.de/ Set up for unbounce is lp.phraseapp.com but we would like our CDN redirect via phraseapp.com directly. Custom error messages (Please fill in the field)

Okay so I am using a custom error messages script to add custom error messages to a page. Since the Jquery Dependancy update there seems to be an additional error message that is not getting relabelled. As you can see from the screenshot below we have an error “Please fill in the field”. This doesn’t seem to obey the script below… The field the error is for is actually a hidden field behind the shown input. SSL connection issue

Set up my custom domain about 5 hours ago and it is now approved and working. However, although it appears as secure and functioning in my Unbounce account, the https link doesn’t seem to be working. Can anyone advise why the SSL certified URL is not working although it is stated as working in Unbounce? Thanks

Add dash in field name? (for URL Parameter)

Hello, How to modify the name of a field name, by adding a character that is not allowed by Unbounce? I absolutely need to use a dash “-” in the name of my parameter to pre-fill a form (on another page), like “zip-code” (to use as URL parameter) What I actually have: www.test.com/?zipcode=xxxx What I need: www.test.com/?zip-code=xxxx I haven’t found any solutions that work. I tried this but didn’t work (or something is missing…): $('#zipcode').attr('name', 'zip-code'); Source here: Dash in Field Label being removed (it’s for a radio field, if it changes something) Thanks! 🙂
