Because the HTML for each section is rendered out separately, you aren’t able to add HTML comments to hide a single section. We also don’t have this built in.

One workaround that might work for you is to create a new variant though. You can copy your existing champion variant to create a new one. On the copy, remove that section. And then make the copy the new Champion variant. Then when you’re ready, promote the old variant back to the Champion.
