I want to make the unbounce download incentive also available in my automated confirmation email, so if the user clicks away from the download button they can still download it from their automated confirmation email (mailchimp).Can I get the unbounce link to use for this purpose? Or do I have to host the same file elsewhere for confirmation emails?

I suggest giving MailChimp’s file upload feature a try: http://kb.mailchimp.com/campaigns/image-videos-files/host-files-in-mailchimp .  This way, you can track how many downloads come from email, with MailChimp’s in app reporting.
