So I’m new to ub and trying out the free version. I’d like the page url to be that of my own site. Do I have the option of paying the $5 monthly charge with my purpose in mind, or do I need to upgrade already?

Hey Richard - Sorry but adding a custom domain is for subscriptions only. A free account is really meant to be only used as testing grounds to get familiar with the our app. Hope that clarifies things!
