I have a newsletter sign-up pop-up on our site that we need to make ADA compliant for accessibility. Wondering if anyone has a guide on a) what are some features that we should check off and b) how to implement these features through Unbounce.


Some items we are considering:



  • Focus on pop-up when it opens (rest of page focus out)

  • Screenreader detects and announces opening of pop-up

  • Be keyboard accessible: each element accessible through tabbing + can exit by ESC key

  • Include descriptive alt text for image, links and sign up button

I would also like to see if anyone else has made a point to implement ADA focused features on their pages. I don’t know much about it other than making things as easy and obvious as possible.
