On a couple of occasions, we’ve seen the # of views have a huge spike while the # of visitors stays relatively the same. For example, on one variant, the # of VISITORS went from about 20 to 90, but the # of VIEWS jumped from about 130 about 850. Any idea what caused this? I’m assuming that it’s just not possible for a few of those visitors to sit around viewing the page hundreds of times. What’s the deal?
Hi Cory, sorry for the slow response! Very good chance that this is a bot that our filters are missing. It could also be a script on your page generating AJAX requests back to the server (we’ve seen that in a couple cases). Can you send your page URL into us at support@unbounce.com so we can have a look through our logs?
