We’ve designed a solid landing page & would like to launch it for immediate use, but we’re not really interested in attaching it to our parent site as it is old & outdated. Can we launch a landing page independently of a parent site?

You can absolutely do that! In fact we recommend keeping landing pages separate from your main website/homepage. You’ll just want to set up a Custom Domain.
Here at Unbounce, we use our own product, for landing pages. For every marketing campaign we run, we build a landing page for it and drive a portion of our traffic to it separately. As landing pages have one clear call-to-action, it helps us improve our conversion rates and ultimately improve our marketing ROI. If our landing pages were embedded on our website, they’d get lost amongst the noise. Hope that helps!
