External Links Tracking for Google Analytics

Hi Everyone, I am trying to track the external link on our landing page but didn’t succeed in setting this up. This is the format of every external link placed on our landing page - https://www.example.com./event/clkg/http/www.anotherwebsite.com/ I tried adding the gaTrackEvent code but somehow it appears to be getting removed everytime. Is there a way to achieve this? Any help would be much appreciate. Thanks,
