Email validation to catch typos

Many people who enter an email address on my forms are including obvious typos in the domain of their email. For example, john@gamil.com, jane@yaho.com, frank@hotmail.con, etc. Because they follow the correct syntax for emails, they are not caught by the default validation for email addresses. Is there a way for us to catch these? For example, can we use some code to create a list of popular misspellings of domains, and reject them?

Implementing multiple Google Analytics trackers with script manager

I’m trying to track visits to some of my pages via the Script Manager in Unbounce with two different Google Analytics accounts. However I’m running into issues as described here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/creating-trackers#working_with_multiple_trackers Based on this info from Google, it looks like I’ll need to change one of the scripts. Do you have any suggestions for the best way to implement the two trackers? I love the simplicity of adding the Google Analytics tracking number into Script Manager, but looks like I can’t do that for two different accounts. What do you think the next best solution to make this work, but while still capturing all of the additional info that your Google Analytics installations track, such as Button Clicks, Text Link Clicks, Form Submissions, Variant Tracking, etc? I can try to install the second tracking code via Google Tag Manager, but not sure what changes I may need to make.

Setting cookie upon successful form submission

Is there a way to set a cookie upon successful form submission of a popup? If so, how? Please note, I would like for the cookie to be set on a successful form submission, not just any click on the submission button for a form. Also, for my particular use case, I am not redirecting visitors to a confirmation page, so setting the cookie on a new page won’t work.

Popup embed code conflicting with other popup on page

On some of my landing pages, I have a text link that uses custom javascript to initiate a fancybox, which serves as an overlay to display our privacy policy. The goal is to allow visitors to easily read this info without navigating to a new page. However, I have found that when implementing Unbounce’s native popup feature, the embed code conflicts with this fancybox, effectively disabling the functionality. Can anyone suggest a workaround for this? Alternatively, I am open to other suggestions for how to display our privacy policy in a manner that still achieves my goal of not sending visitors to a different page. Thanks in advance!

Unique URL of form confirmation dialogue?

I’ve set up a page with form that displays a form confirmation dialogue when submitted. I’d like to track conversions from this in Facebook. But in order to do this, I need to give Facebook the URL of the conversion page. Does the form confirmation dialogue have its own, unique URL that I can plug into Facebook? If not, is there another workaround for this?

Send user back to previous page with text link

I’d like to add a text link on my page that would send the visitor back to their prior page – same functionality as hitting the “back” button in your browser. I found this old thread, but it’s for adding this functionality to a button, not a text link: Back buttons Would appreciate any help on how to do this – thanks!

[How-to] Create Triggers based on Unbounce Page Variant in Google Tag Manager

Hey folks, for those of you using Google Tag Manager, I thought I’d share how I created triggers based on an Unbounce page variant. Very useful when A/B testing something outside of Unbounce that is delivered via script to your page! (Kudos to Robert in support for providing some guidance on this!) Instructions Click Here for the how-to In Variables section, create a new User-Defined Variables, with type “JavaScript Variable”. Give it a name (I used “Unbounce Variant”) and for Global Variable Name, enter ub.page.variantId Go to Triggers section, create a new one with trigger type for Page View. Then add a condition for Page URL to match whatever page you’re trying to add your script to, and then add another condition with “Unbounce Variant” (if that’s what you called your variable) equaling whatever variable from your page in Unbounce that you want to use. From Tags section, add your new trigger (from #2) to whatever script you’re trying to fire on only some variants!

How to track page variants in Google Analytics... but also capture custom URL parameters?

I’d like to track visits to individual page variants in Google Analytics but have a slight twist to what the normal approach would be. To start, I’m aware of the ‘trackPageview’ method (_gaq.push([’_trackPageview’, ‘/my-unbounce-page/variant’])😉 as well as what’s outlined on this page however neither quite accomplish a bit of a unique requirement of mine. The unique requirement: When I send traffic to my site, I have a number of parameters appended to the URL for tracking purposes, all of which I use in GA to segment data. I need to ensure all of these parameters make their way to GA. However, with either of the methods listed above, GA only picks up the default parameters (ie, utm_source, utm_medium) but none of my custom ones. So whereas my page views in GA are usually recorded as something like /unbounce-page/?customparam1=param1value&customparam2=param2value with these other methods in place I only see /unbounce-page/a (with “a” being the page variant).
