Email Validator in Form to Prevent Fake Leads and Assist Users

The goal here is to apply a script for the email field in forms to alert a user when the text they have entered is not an actual email address. Typos can happen often but we also need to try and prevent users from submitting “any-random-text” as an email address in forms. (As of this post, Unbounce allows ex: “abc” to be submitted and counted as a conversion. Which throws of stats…sad face) Guaranteeing valid email leads will assist in legitimate conversions and will help prevent false leads. Therefore a better spend of money and confidence that the emails gathered are legit. I grabbed an example script from another topic and included the capability to validate full email addresses for Unbounce email forms. included below When a user tries to type in anything that is not formatted like a full email address, they will get an alert message. Text on Web Pages is For More Than Reading

Font Hierarchy - The Basics of Text Size We aren’t all graphic designers. We are marketers who need to get a job done. Even if you’re a designer and not a marketer or all of the above, it wouldn’t matter. Because whoever you are, you need to think like your audience and give them a web page that any human and machine can navigate. Getting this job done starts with a principle called Font Hierarchy. All text on a landing page should have three levels of text size. Big text at the top for the heading (H1), consider 48px Medium sized text for subtitles and section headings (H2-H6), consider 36px. Regular and readable text for paragraphs ( p ) 12-16px. The text used should also follow the style guide settings of H1, H2, p, etc. So that web browsers, search engines, devices, and your future self can easily display the text in any condition when needed. Let's Talk About Double Opt-In

I have some feelings about “Double Opt-In” and could certainly make myself a pro/con list. But what does the community think about it? ❔ Do you use double opt-in? If so, on every campaign, or only certain campaigns? ❔ As a user, do you feel more comfortable with double opt-in by answering the confirmation email? ❓ What if double opt-in became mandatory? For those unfamiliar, basically “double opt-in” means that when you subscribe with your email address in a form, you will then be sent a confirmation email to actually opt into whatever you subscribed. This process is done with an email marketing service.

What's Your Strategy For Page Variants A/B Testing

Based on the majority of my work, the theme doesn’t change too often. So it becomes difficult to keep landing pages fresh with unique content. How do you keep your page variants from getting stale? I’ve got my go-to methods when creating another page variant. But I’m super curious to see what else people do when creating more variants. For example, if I need a quick way to make another variant I will… 1️⃣ Change the hero/header image. 2️⃣ Change the color scheme to relate to the hero/header image. So if there are a lot of blues in the hero image, maybe I will choose a contrasting red for the button color. Let’s see it Unbounce fam! What is your go-to strategy for an easy page variant?

Radio Ads to Unbounce - Advice + Feedback = Helping :)

I’m looking for more than just feedback on the page… I’m really curious to know if anyone has published ads for radio and pointed users to a landing page. My goal is to get people to install an app. So the button on the page leads to the App Store to install. In addition to feedback of the landing page elements… What advice would you have on the URL? This is radio so it’s gotta be short, right? Considering a radio listener, where do you think most traffic would be from, mobile or desktop? What elements could help a radio listener’s experience on the page? The app will be advertised on all religious radio stations. Should I include copy that references a listening experience? Popups, Sticky Bars & Search Rank

Ever notice the message in the Sticky-Bar builder…“An excessive height could adversely affect your search rankings”? Could I get some trustworthy evidence or articles addressing that message? I am aware that pop-up ads in general can affect rank and UX. But what if it’s timed? What if it’s relevant to site content? What if it’s helpful to the user? I would love more education or confirmation on this because the articles I have read seem to address the obvious. If it looks like spam, then your page will lose rank. Duh… So what do you all think? Let’s say my sticky-bar is 200px tall, and it’s a promoting something helpful like telling people to drink more water in the summer heat. Will my site lose a percentage of search rank in the summer because of that sticky-bar? Looking for any kind of feedback from the friendly Unbounce Community 😃
