Hey Adam, Is your page loading slowly for you? If not I’d just stick with the gifs as this might take a while to figure out haha Zoe didn’t provide a script, she just told me that the plugin wouldn’t work - I had to hire someone in to get it figured out, but the below is what we have on the page. The issue is you have to make sure your script is being exported in the same mode as the player script. Hopefully this helps! Migrating to New CNAME Values

Hi! If we connected our domain via Wordpress, do we need to follow these steps? Additionally, to set a page as the homepage, I just deleted the slug/end of the url for the page, it seems to have worked correctly, but is this best practice/going to cause any issues? Thanks! Ben

Anyone using Google Optimize with Unbounce pages?

Hi Finge, I love this idea! I’m struggling with the fact that Unbounce only offers 1 goal metric, so your setup sounds like exactly the type of thing I’m aiming for! The two things I’m trying to track are - Number of visits to the checkout page Number of conversions/purchases My expectation is that our tests might impact the number of people we get to the checkout to a statistically significant degree, but since we lose around 66% on the checkout page, we’d need A LOT more data to make a conclusion based on conversions. Setting it up with both goals gives us the flexibility to track both and decide later which one we will use for our conclusion. Could I ask if you have any ideas on how I might be able to set something like this up?? I imagine it should be pretty simple, but would be great to hear if you have any thoughts or ideas! Thank you! How to Track Conversions on form submission?

Okay great, thanks! Are there any other options that might be available? Is there a way to make a script trigger without having to use GTM? Since all the other tracking is all set up using Universal tracking, I’m worried what effect implementing GTM will have to the original set up? If no other options, do you know if there are any instructions on how to set this up? Thanks again for your help!!

How to Track Conversions on form submission?

Hey Jonathan, Thanks for the quick reply on this! So, the problem is that FB is indeed double counting the users. This is normal behaviour for FB because, although it does track users rather than IPs, it needs to be able to tag a user multiple times - to give an example of why it does this - if I was purchasing a product, and I purchased twice from one ad campaign, the advertiser would want to know that. To show you what I mean, if you go to our confirmation page (link below) and check the pixel helper, you’ll see that it tags you on visit, and then if you refresh the page, you’ll see that it tags you again: https://wearethedreammakers.com/more-than-a-holiday/ I’m using the ‘CompleteRegistration’ event, so perhaps it’s because it’s an event that can occur multiple times (like a purchase) - that’s why it tags it multiple times? So, do you know how I can get it to just trigger on a form submit? Thanks for your help! Ben

Hi @Jonathan Thanks for your posts above! I’m hoping you can help with an issue I’m having - In short - how do I get it so that the FB event script only fires once when someone submits the form and then not again? All the details: I’ve successfully got the FB pixel event firing when a person completes a form and is forwarded to a landing page, but the issue is, if they refresh the confirmation page, or get end up back their based on our email marketing (since our confirmation page has two uses), the pixel is firing again, leading to incorrect stats showing in Facebook. How do I get it so that the script only fires once when someone submits the form and then not again? Passing UTM paramters to the Thank you page URL

Hey Nicholas! Thanks for this info and the very informative video! Just hoping you can help with a similar, but slightly different query… I’m trying to find a way to instantly redirect people from a page on my primary domain to a subdomain but still keep the original UTM tracking. So, they would visit www.example.com?utm_source=test and then instantly be redirected to www.new.example.com?utm_source=test and the tracking would stay intact. Is there a way to use Unbounce to setup a redirect that will ensure the UTM isn’t stripped out? I’ve been trying to figure this out for ages, but just can’t find a solution! Thanks so much if you have any ideas! Ben

I can get it working on a WordPress page by using the plugin in the previous link and using the short code generated, and now I’m trying to get the short code to work on Unbounce. Have you been able to get any shortcodes working? Thanks!

I’ve been looking at the support page around tracking conversions here: https://documentation.unbounce.com/hc/en-us/articles/203879180-Setting-Conversion-Goals And it says: " *** Important : In cases where your Unbounce page and the External conversion page are on the same WordPress domain the below script will not work correctly. If you are interested in using the External Conversion Script with your WordPress pages, please contact support@unbounce.com.*** " Is this something you have any familiarity/experience with? Or any ideas on how I should be setting this up to ensure there isn’t an issue here? I’m coming from Shopify and in Shopify you simply add your GA to the theme and it ensures that you have all conversions tracked automatically. Is there a solution like that for Unbounce and WordPress? Thanks! Ben

Hi @Hristian Thanks so much for coming back to me on this! So, just to confirm, as long as my Unbounce account is connected to my domain, this will work without an issue? I’m just trying to figure out how the two applications work together - My Wordpress site (and domain) will be on one server and my Unbounce pages are, presumably on the Unbounce server, does that not make a difference? Are you able to help me understand how Unbounce pages interact with servers and domains? Apologies for the vague question, I’m still in the process of learning how this all works! Thank you!! Ben
