[How to] Create Angled Page Sections (aka False Bottoms)

Like others, I’m having issues with background images repeating and also skewing the image itself and am having difficulty trouble-shooting the cause.

Fluid text for semi-responsiveness

Let’s say I had a very simple splash page with only a section or two of text centered over a solid color background. Headline and body text. But I still want to keep 1280 as my page width and the max width I want for the text is 1110. How would I go about making the text responsive? I’m sure for a more complicated page with lots of different elements it would be a problem, but I still need to do my due diligence to make sure what the limits are of what we can do with Unbounce. I’m more than willing to get into advanced details.

Fade or slide in/out full width carousel

Hi Hristian, thanks for the quick response. This helps a lot but I’m having some issues getting it to function correctly. I’ve opted for an automatic slideshow rather than click through, but it isn’t repeating. It gets to the third background and stops. What do I need to edit or add to the JS to make it repeat? For some reason my background is pushed about 100px to the right of the left-hand side of the screen and extends the whole page an equal amount out to the right. My box and all of my backgrounds are placed exactly edge to edge inside the section (1280x605) so I can’t figure out why. Is there a way to scale the images proportionately and mask the excess rather than scale the full image to conform to the height and width? The script you provided definitely helps, but as the screen resolution gets higher, the images get more and more stretched to fit.

[Tips & Scripts] Mobile Hamburger Navigation Menu

Absolutely Mark. You just need input the box IDs for your mobile nav and none from desktop. They just used the desktop sticky nav as an example of what you can do. You can apply the same script/css for mobile only if you want. Also anything you create for the mobile view can be hidden from the desktop view using the Contents tab on the left.

[Tips & Scripts] Sticky Navigation Bar For Desktop - The Code Behind Our 2015 Call-To-Action Conference Page

I’m looking to get my mobile nav bar to be static as it is by default, but reappear by sliding down from the top of the screen when the user scrolls back up, or maybe reappear when they stop scrolling longer than say 3 seconds. Is this possible by modifying the above script?

[Feedback Wanted] Mobile Responsive

Are there specific sizes that you would like to see? It would be phenomenal if we could either select from a group of predefined Android and iOS resolutions and/or input our own break points. Apps like Sketch and Adobe XD offer sets of predefined artboard sizes based on the most popular devices, not all of them, and would be a good set of options.

[Tips & Scripts] Mobile Hamburger Navigation Menu

I’m looking to do something similar to this where I have a hamburger menu at the top left corner on mobile, but instead of the menu sliding down, I need it to slide in from the left. I want a close button in place of the hamburger when the menu is open to close it (slides back out) and the menu will contain links to iTunes apps instead of anchors on the page. Is there a way I can modify the CSS/js to do this? I have the viewport width set to 320 currently.
