I’ve got a 3 page “funnel” that I’ve created. Page one has a pop-up modal form, page two has a traditional “squeeze” form with additional fields to fill out and page 3 is the thank you page.
I installed the FB Pixel on each page. All 3 pages have the PageView event tracked. Page 2 tracks as a “Lead” and Page 3 tracks as a “CompletedRegistration”.
I did a a test sign up this evening (brand new pixel) and when I looked in the FB Pixel Dashboard it recorded 6 pageviews, 2 leads and 2 completed registrations.
The FB pixel code is located in the HEAD of each page.
Any idea what could be causing this double-count to happen?
