Background video not working on Ipads

Hello,

I have a video as a header background but for some reason, it doesn’t work in iPads. The mobile version replaces the video with an image and the desktop version works fine, but not the tablet. I tried both Youtube and Vimeo videos.

Any advice?

Also that low resolution image that displays before the video loads isn’t the best. any way of changing it?

Hi @charlie_chatz,

The reason your video is not working on iPads and for that matter iPhones as well is simply because the device doesn’t allow it.

iOS on a system level doesn’t allow videos to autoplay. There are some valid reasons why that is the case.

Hi Hristian, is there a way to replace the video with an image for Ipads? Same way as it’s done for mobile devices.
