Any landing page strategies to prevent the entry of false details?

Hey everyone. We have what we believe are some pretty good landing pages with great copy and very well set up Adwords campaigns with high quality scores. Nonetheless we consistently get people entering false details both on purpose and (possibly) by mistake. In some instances obviously the user wants the eBook we are offering without the follow-up call from sales so it’s obvious why this happens here. But on other (multi-step) landing pages with no clear pay-off at the end that we can see, users run through the steps and then leave false details. It’s frustrating and baffling at the same time. We have put it down to simply “online lead gen”, ie. it comes with the territory. Does anyone also experience this also? We get about 10% of submissions containing false details on average. Does anyone have any tactics on reducing false details? We have thought of incentivising the entry of correct contact information but beyond that are now starting to wonder whether our landing pages have a pro

Using Unbounce's A/B Testing while NOT actually using their standard form

Hi Everyone We use an app called Leadformly to get a simple step-by-step webform into our unbounce pages; so we totally bypass the usual unbounce features that are ‘pegged’ to using their internal webforms. For example we can’t see conversions in the Unbounce UI because they are happening inside the Leadformly form that we embed via the ‘custom HTML’ widget. We are testing phone verification now inside one of the Leadformly forms and so we have set up variants in unbounce - effectively an A/B test. But because no conversions are recorded on our pages we have no way of seeing on which variant the conversion took place. The “Lead Source URL” that is passed to our CRM is always the same, because that’s how Unbounce conducts it’s A/B tests: by splitting traffic to the same URL. Can anyone think of a way to pass a variable or something through to the CRM to give us an indication of what page variant the lead came from? Using CNAME "TRY" versus "WWW2"

Hey all We all know landing page users are fickle. If any of you have looked at videos of people using your landing pages you will see them get agitated as soon as you ask the high threat questions (on multi step forms). They scroll up and down looking for trust, try and click ‘next’ without entering anything. You get the picture. Some people have told us that the URL is a trust thing for them. If anything looks ‘out of place’ it could be dodgy, spam, phishing etc. So I wanted to ask the community the question about whether the CNAME commonly suggested at unbounce (and probably rarely questioned) could fit into that category --> TRY.YOURDOMAIN.COM. I have seen the CNAME "WWW2.YOURDOMAIN.COM used in the past and have wondered whether that seems less of a departure from the norm (WWW) in the layperson’s eyes, such that it could avoid any negative perceptions of trust. Maybe I’m splitting hairs. Keen to hear your thoughts.

Questions around security with CNAME records

We have a client with some questions from their IT department about pointing their CNAME to unbouncepages.com. We have never had these kinds of questions before and think they are probably misdirected. Nonetheless if you could please try and answer them for us or send us back something we can forward on to the client to alleviate their concerns it would probably get us more business in the long run with these guys. They are: When did they last do a penetration test? How frequently do they do these? Is that specific web architecture included? Do they know what OS is on the web server? Is that OS up to date? What security controls do they have in place on their server? How quickly would they know if they had a security issue? Have they ever had a security issue or breach on any server they were responsible for? Any quick advice would be appreciated.
