Building drop-down header menus tutorial

I have a lot of landing pages that I want to be really, really integrated with my website, to the point that visitors don’t think they’ve headed off my site when they visit them. Particularly, I want the site header to look and behave the exact same way whether these pages are on kinvey.com or Unbounce. If you look at www.kinvey.com you’ll notice I have a few drop downs for secondary navigation in my header. Today I discovered it’s pretty easy to replicate that that with CSS in Unbounce (compare one of my newer pages, e.g. http://go.kinvey.com/cognitive-computing-insurance-webinar-recording/). I didn’t see anything in the knowledge base about it, so I figured I’d post it here. DISCLAIMER: I know enough CSS to get me in trouble but I am not a developer. I’m sure I’ve failed to adhere to all development best practices here. I’m open to suggestions/criticism. All I had to do was to create a div for each of my menu items and then hide the  element that contained my submenu. For example: CU

Guide: Implementing LinkedIn's new Autofill feature

Thought I’d share my experience using LinkedIn’s Autofill feature. This feature is still in beta (I think) but since I am a Bizo customer (now owned by LinkedIn) I was able to get access. First off, here’s what it is/does. It was actually really simple to implement. /a appended to URLs in Google Analytics

Hi community, Beginning August 18, all of my Unbounce landing pages started appearing in Google Analytics with /a appended to them. For example, /landing-page becomes /landing-page/a. I changed nothing in my GA configuration nor anything in Unbounce, either globally or to individual pages, during this time. This is specific to my Unbounce pages - it’s not happening on my corporate site. All of my landing pages appear to be functioning properly. I’ve tested and confirmed that users are on /landing-page and I’m seeing the visit as /landing-page/a - i.e. I don’t actually have any visitors to /landing-page/a. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

Unbounce Eloqua integration: a how-to

Unbounce doesn’t advertise an integration with Eloqua but it’s fairly easy to do using the “Post form data to a URL” form confirmation option. First, become familiar with “Blind Form Submit” links - this is what we’ll use to post Unbounce form data to Eloqua: http://topliners.eloqua.com/groups/cx… So your “Post form data to a URL” field will look like this: http://s1234.t.eloqua.com/e/f2?elqFor… (replace 1234 with your own site ID and FormName with the name of your form) the next step is configuring your form in Eloqua to map the Unbounce data correctly. You can do this in two ways: 1) change the HTML names of the Eloqua fields to the syntax Unbounce uses (e.g. name, email, etc.) or 2) use the “Post form data to a URL” field to map the unbounce fields to whatever your HTML field names might be in Eloqua - e.g. http://s1234.t.eloqua.com/e/f2?elqFor… That’s it! Your Unbounce forms now work perfectly with your Eloqua instance.
