Mailchimp user already subscribed but still able to sign up

Hi, how can I set up the common mailchimp message “You are already subscribed” on the form when a user is already subscirbed, right now they are able to keep signing up with the same email address. I also receive an error log in Unbounce that says obviously that the user is already subscribed. Thanks!
