Jquery expanding div?

I have a long block of text that I’d like to truncate with a “more” button, and use jquery to expand the div when clicked. The javascript itself works, but when it slides open, it goes right over the top of everything else. I’m pretty new to unbounce - is this even possible? Can you point me in the right direction? I’m sure it’s got something to do with positioning, but when I try overriding the styles, I still don’t get the right result. Thank you!
