1 Stage Landing page vs. 2 Stage landing Page

I used to be in the domain parking business and parked pages can either be 1 click or 2 clicks.   Below are examples of what I am talking about. https://farm5.static.flickr.com/4145/4962922785_bcd43c8301.jpg http://img.labnol.org/images/2008/05/adsense-parked-domains.png I see a lot of similarities between domain parked pages and lead generation pages.   You have one shot at converting them and after that you never see them again.  Generally, 2 stage landers are better for broader topics where people could be searching for a lot of different things so it requires two clicks to get them what they are looking for.    And, when the traffic is more targeted you generally use a 1 stage parked page.   Do many people use a similar concept with landing pages and if so does anyone have some examples they could provide?

Why is landing page B converting 14% and A converting 8%

I have two landing page designs with almost identical messages.  One landing page converts at about 14% and the other one about 8%.  They are very similar looking landing pages and quite frankly I would have bet the farm that the loser would have outperformed the winner, however I could not have been more wrong.    I have no idea why there could be such a huge conversion difference between the two.   Additionally, I have never had such high conversion rates before and I don’t know what I am doing well in the winner http://www.triplenetproperty.com/nnn-listings/b.html  WINNER http://www.triplenetproperty.com/nnn-listings/d.html LOSER
