I am running twitter  ads advertising my free song offer. My goal is to get email sign ups for my free song lead magnet. The song is unreleased so people will have to sign up for it. My ad is a 15 second clip of the song and leads to a landing page. I have tried a couple variations of the landing page with very poor results after spending over $300 in spend. The average cpc is $1 a click. The targeting is keywords like “pop punk”, “blink 182”, “green day”, and other bands. The page with the least copy and only a form did the best so far. However, I want to convert at around 15% which is way higher than what its converting at now. Below are the links to the the funnels I have been using:

  1. Worst conversion rate https://freecover.ubpages.com/dear-angelica-signup-page/
  2. Best https://freecover.ubpages.com/dear-angelica-signup-page-4/
  3. New https://freecover.ubpages.com/dear-angelica-signup-page-5/

Here is the ad I am using below:

Here is the video in the ad: https://streamable.com/ymqf2z

I am also using tweet engager retargeting and it’s still not converting.

Looking to improve my conversion rate.

All help is welcome.

Hi Drew, here’s some feedback for you:

Thank you so much for your feedback on the song and funnel!!

I was afraid it was the offer. Only once or twice have I gotten this funnel to work with “a secret song”, and I think because of the curiosity it worked well.

But yes  I want the email list for direct contact, selling merch, and so I have an owner resource in case social platforms collapse or ban my content.

I like the release party idea and the production video. I did a survey a while back and most people said they would sign up for a merch giveaway or free merch. So maybe I could do that or the release party!

I think a contest is a great way to do it, not only for the tangible incentives but also the social sharing possibilities.

I was running YT ads to grow my subs and it was working great! Paid marketing on Tik Tok is great for engagement anr reach so maybe that and youtube combined I could grow a huge following between them.

And then with a contest I can grow the email list.

What do you think about a giveaway contest funnel for a free merch pack? (shirts, stickers, posters, etc)

Heck yeah, I think that is the way to go. A contest funnel would be much more enticing than just the song on its own.

Maybe bundle all of this together to make the offer really epic: “Enter your email and get access to a behind-the-scenes video of how the song was made, a chance to win merch, and an exclusive invite to our upcoming online launch party”

Hey @Nicholas

Just started this contest funnel, only $10 of spend and nothing yet but it’s super early.

Wondering what you think of this page?
