In testing a form we have realised that a user with their VPN on could fill out the form but the form contents never appears as a lead in Unbounce. 

I can see that there are other chat topics relating to landing pages not appearing at all for users inside corporate VPNs.

But this appears to  be a worse case, where a lead has landed on the page and believes they have submitted a quote request through the page form but no record is created and they have no way of knowing their request has not been created.

 

Any idea what to do about this?

Your issue is one of those… it depends kind of cases. 

Are there any console errors?
Do you have any 3rd party scripts that are interacting with the form and submit function? (lead enrichments, etc.) 
Any scripts not loading due to the use of the VPN? (check network tab with and without the VPN)

Best route is to reach out to the awesome folks at Unbounce support who will be able to take a look under the hood and see what might be the issue.

The test user was using StrongVPN.

The issue likely stems from the VPN (like StrongVPN) blocking or interfering with the form submission. This can happen due to VPN IPs being flagged or issues with JavaScript/cookies. To fix this, test the form with different VPNs, ensure there’s a confirmation message for users, and check your Unbounce security settings. If the problem persists, review third-party integrations and contact Unbounce support for further assistance.
