Can you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by “get the pop ups to work in private browser mode”?

Incognito/Private browser mode deals primarily with what kind of information/cookies are being saved locally and don’t affect the popup functionality.

It turns out the pop up also doesnt work in chrome or edge. Only in firefox but not in firefox incognito.

I am using a class and the popup is targeted by url and triggered by click on class. There are no errors in the console.
