Hi all! I have zero experience in CSS animation, but I’ve been using After Effects for around ten years now.
I’m employed as an animator, and work are starting to get an interest in incorporating CSS animation within our website. As the only animator in the business, it’s fallen to me to design and make the animations for the engineers to then interpret and recreate in CSS.
I’m wondering if anyone here knows of any tools or techniques that’ll help smooth over the handover between myself and the engineers? I’ve discovered the Flow plugin for AE that replaces the native speed graph with one that resembles the CSS speed graph (complete with outputting the relevant values), but that’s the extent of my research so far.
I’ve come across SVGator, but I’m not sure whether that’s entirely relevant to what I’m looking for.
(We’ve used bodymovin before, but work aren’t super keen on it since they’d like the animations to be as light as possible.)
