Hey everyone!

One of our @Unbounce-Experts alerted me to something this morning that I thought might be worth sharing here, since many of you use and share custom code in this forum.

According to rawgit.com, GitHub repositories that served content through RawGit within the last month will continue to be served until at least October of 2019. URLs for other repositories are no longer being served.

If you’re currently using RawGit, please stop using it as soon as you can.

The following free services offer fantastic alternatives to some or all of RawGit’s functionality. You may like them even more than RawGit.

We are going to spend some time next week sifting through our Tips and Scripts that are using RawGit and will update here if there are any updates that need to be made, but for now there’s nothing to worry about. As mentioned, content will be served for until at least October 2019. Just wanted to give a heads up!

Feel free to chime in if you’ve any questions 👋

You might want to check through the TOS on Github pages. They are predominately are for use in relation to a repository. So informational page for the script they host. They state that they dislike advertising and monetisation (except for donate links etc.).

We looked at using github pages to act as a CDN and there are enough grey areas in the TOS that we avoided it.

Went with JSDelivr instead and although we are just rolling out with it, it’s looking great already. (still using github to host the scripts themselves but JSDelivr to cache and serve)

(unsure on the other two)
