No not really.

Hey @SebastianTh,

Unbounce is already doing a lot to speed up our landing pages.

However, introducing something new and shiny it’s not always the best path forward.

Just off the top of my head I can think of at least a few good reasons to not introduce new image formats: backwards compatibility, browser support, licensing and not least of all actual real world use.

I don’t have any inside knowledge on the future plans of Unbounce so take this as my own 2c.

Very valid point. Didn’t think about that.

I reached out to Unbounce support and they told me that there’s going to be a lot of further improvements on image optimization, etc. within UB in the near future.

Speed Optimization has priority A for them right now :wink:
