Multiple Ad Sources-Which is best?


Suppose I want to test two different advertising sources on one of my pages. What’s the best way to do that?

There are 2 ways you could do this.

  1. Use a separate landing page for each inbound source (which would allow you to tailor & test each page specifically for the messaging of the ad - if they are different in any way). This would let you see which was the best performing source.
  2. Add Google Analytics to your page and use their reporting to compare which source sent the most traffic through to the next destination page (only good on a click through page that continues into your funnel). If it’s a lead gen page, then #1 is your only option at this point.
