Lock down a page

Can I gate a page with a pop up, and have it not go away unless the visitor fills out the form, or leave the page? I’d like to serve up a form to collect email address in order to finish viewing content. I don’t want the visitor to have the ability to simply dismiss the pop up.

Any ideas as to how to accomplish this?

I had to do this recently too. I ended up not using a pop-up and created it all within the one Unbounce page. I did the following:

  1. First take screenshot of the landing page you want to show as the background behind your form in Desktop
  2. Place that screenshot image as your section background image and use a color overlay to darken it
  3. Bring a form box into section, fill box with color or image, and then setup your form in that box
  4. You may need to take a screenshot of your mobile background image separately and adjust form for mobile
