Fix for URL case issue on Wordpress

#1

Q: What feature / functionality are you looking for?
A: I am requesting that the Unbounce plugin for WordPress be enhanced such that as long as a visitor types in the URL of an Unbounce page, regardless of case, they get to the right page.

Q: What problem are you trying to solve?
A: Currently it appears that unbounce requires that the URL for an unbounce landing page on Wordpress be typed with only lower case for the page to appear. for example, we have an unbounce landing page on our site thedinnerdaily.com/youdecide But if a visitor types it thedinnerdaily.com/YouDecide they get a “Page Not Found” error. This is not an issue with any of our native Wordpress pages, so I believe it is the way the unbounce plugin is written.

Q: If solved, what value would this provide (ex. increased efficiency, cost savings, etc.)?
A: I believe that this error is causing us to miss visits from potential prospects.

Q: Use Case example? (ex. As a ____ I want to be able to _____ so I can _____.)
A:

Q: Is this being solved by another workaround or any other tool today?
A: none that I know of. Unbounce support pointed me to a plugin, but it had only 20 installations and was not translated to english so not something we want to install.

this is not really a “feature”

it is a bug.

see the ietf.org statement on this.

https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc4343

urls are not case sensitive.
