I’ve had some bad conversion rates in the past, but I’ve learned a lot and brought my conversion rates up quite a bit! Unfortunately, that is not reflected in the overall conversion rate displayed on the home page because that number includes the conversion rate of the discarded variants.
The problem is every time I see that low conversion rate, I panic. Then, when I click on the that particular page to view the variants, I see that the page is still doing very well, and nothing changed. I could remove them from the total by deleting them, I know. BUT I don’t want to delete them because it’s important for me to be able to view my mistakes as a reminder of what not to do.
IN SUMMARY: the conversion rates of discarded variants should not be included in the overall conversion rate calculation. Anyone agree?
