Server Location?

Hey Gordon, great question! We don’t currently offer the ability to restrict visitors based on geolocation, but even if we did, I don’t think that would solve your problem. Our page servers only transit data, they don’t store it. Data storage is currently centralized in US East, which is the bigger problem. This is something we’re working to address in two ways: We’re working with our lawyers to understand EU privacy laws in a (rapidly evolving) post-Schrems world. This work is ongoing. We’re looking into adapting our platform to allow EU customers to keep personal data they collect in the EU. I’m curious, would you be satisfied with a solution that was compliant with EU law, but still had your data in the US? Cheers,    Carl

Server Location?

Hi there!  We’ve had page servers located in four data centers for quite a while now (apologies for not tracking down this thread and updating when we launched). When you publish your pages, they’re served from US West, US East, Singapore and Ireland. We direct your page visitors to the data center that provides the lowest latency.

What is the max number of variants per page?

Hi Lars!  Once a variant code hits ‘Z’ we start at ‘AA’, ‘AB’, etc.  There’s a practical limit of 100 concurrent variants in a test because traffic weights are assigned in increments of whole percentage points, meaning the largest test you could run concurrently is with 100 variants with 1% of traffic each.   I echo Joe’s question regarding traffic and achieving statistically significant results. Redirecting page "inside" unbounce

Hi Simao, there are a couple ways to set this up. First option, If I understand correctly, you’ll still keep your domain registration for impactteachers.com with FastNet.  Some hosting providers supply a redirection service in their control panel.  I had a quick look through FastNet’s knowledge base, but I didn’t see anything, so you might have to check with them.  If they support redirects, you can just configure it in FastNet and be done. Second option if FastNet can’t help, we could manually setup a redirect for you.  You’d want to:  Add the application.impactteachers.com domain in Unbounce (which won’t immediately affect your current domain).  Let us know you’ve added the domain, we’ll then configure the redirection from application.impactteachers.com to forms.impactteachers.com.  Update your application.impactteachers.com DNS to CNAME to unbouncepages.com as usual. Once you complete the DNS update in step 3 (and wait for the changes to propagate, which according to your DNS conf

More security issues with uploaded templates

Hi Shlomo, First off, thanks so much for taking the time to find these security issues in our page builder.  I appreciate you being so thorough about showing us exactly where the vulnerabilities are; it’s a big help.  In this case, we were aware of and are already working on a fix that should be out in the next week or so. Going forward, I’m hoping you’ll see the merit in reporting these to us directly instead of through our user forums.  We’re big fans of transparency here at Unbounce, and the goal isn’t to stop these vulnerabilities from reaching the community - we just want to have the chance to address and fix them before someone uses these exploits in a malicious manner.  We’ll send you an email so you have a direct point of contact with our team in the future.  Thanks again, Shlomo!

Is there any type of alert when the unbounce server goes down?

Hey Stefan, you’re also free to use services such as Pingdom to monitor your pages.  I should also add that you can check out our uptime on http://status.unbounce.com as well, though that only shows the last 30 days right now.  I just checked our one year number as reported by Pingdom, and we’re at 99.9958% uptime on our servers (22 minutes of downtime in the last year, or less than two minutes per month on average. As a matter of course, we don’t take our servers down for maintenance or upgrades, so the only downtime we ever experience is if there are operational errors or issues with hosting (which is reasonably rare because your Unbounce pages are hosted in four Amazon data centers around the globe). Anyway, welcome to Unbounce, hope your transition goes smoothly!

Unbounce data protection and security

Hi Jane, just to clarify, while we do have four hosting locations, your data doesn’t reside in all of those. Any leads you collect, assets you upload, and page statistics we calculate are stored only in the US data centers (replicated between US East and US West). So you are absolutely correct in stating that the data is stored outside of the EU. Our page serving is “latency-balanced” amongst all four data centers (visitors to your published pages are directed to the closest data center from a network latency perspective). Hope that helps clarify things! We do eventually want to let you choose where your data resides, but that’ll take us a while yet.

I just confirmed that we are indeed setting the Content-Length header (here’s a screenshot of the test post I did using RequestBin: If we’re getting an error response from you, we should also show that on our side when you look under “View Leads”. Are you seeing error indications on our side as well, or just in your logs?

SSL certification

Hey there! We’re still working out details. Likely it will only work with your own custom domains hosted by Unbounce (i.e. not unbouncepages.com). Whether or not you would have to purchase a separate certificate is up to you. This is where it gets a little complicated, and is perhaps more information than you’d ever want to know. It depends on what kind of certificate you might already have, and how you feel about having that certificate hosted by a third party. If you have a “wildcard” cert (that certifies *.mycompany.com), or perhaps a UC cert (that certifies multiple specific named hosts such as www.mycompany.com, info.mycompany, etc), then you could use the same cert. If not, you’d have to purchase a certificate specifically for your Unbounce-hosted custom domain. Some companies prefer to have dedicated certificates depending on who controls and hosts them. Hope that helps to explain it a bit…

Hi David, so sorry we’ve not gotten an answer to you sooner! You’re correct in that our external tracking script won’t work in your case. However, if you’re looking to do something custom, you can use our API to record leads and trigger conversions. Here’s the most relevant documentation: https://api.unbounce.com/doc/leads#cr… Just be sure to set the ‘conversion=true’ option to mark your submitted lead as a conversion (so it gets counted in your statistics). You’ll also want to check out some of the API basics here: https://api.unbounce.com/doc Do you have an existing Unbounce account? I wasn’t able to find one under your name. Just let us know and we’ll enable API access for you (it’s currently not available to everyone quite yet). Hope that helps you get headed in the right direction!

Landing Page looks fine in preview mode, but had major problems when visitng the URL

Hi Corey, sorry to hear you’ve had some issues with your published page. We take rendering issues pretty seriously, so I’d love to dig in and learn more about your particular case. It’s quite possible that this was simply a coincidence, and what *really* fixed your page was simply re-publishing it regardless of the labs feature being enabled or disabled (perhaps a page asset wasn’t successfully pushed the first time, which would be a bug we need to track down if that’s the case). I just copied your page to a test URL, enabled our Faster Image Serving feature, and it seemed to publish just fine. Could I ask you to re-enable Faster Image Serving and re-publish your page? Thanks Corey!

I followed the instructions for integrating Unbounce and Zoho but my leads are not showing up in Zoho

Hi Colm! I was just trying to understand where Ed was running into problems, so when I said “it won’t send any previous form submissions over”, what I meant was, if you get some form submissions in Unbounce, and THEN add the Zoho integration, those form submissions received prior to configuring the integration will not be sent to Zoho. The behaviour you’ve described (refreshing the form and then not getting it sent to Zoho) is new to us. Does the form submission get captured in Unbounce *and* not sent to Zoho? Also, could you clarify what you mean by “is it direct that the integration will not works”, I’m just not sure what you mean.

Hi Colm! Our integration with Zoho CRM is available to all Unbounce account levels, so no worries there. If your free trial expires, we’ll still send your leads over to Zoho. The integration will send new leads from form submissions into Zoho, but it won’t send any previous form submissions over. Duplicating - Feature Request

Hey Matt, so sorry we hadn’t gotten back to you sooner. Honestly, after watching your awesome video (thanks for taking the time!) I dug in to make sure we hadn’t re-introduced a bug, as this is an issue we had fixed as part of our recent editor updates! Long story short, this has to be a bug specific to your page, as normally a duplicated section now *does* appear immediately below the section being duplicated. I’ll log this as an issue, though, as I’m sure others have encountered it too!

Hey Sarah, if you want to allow visitors to select multiple options, not just one, checkboxes are your friend. Radio buttons are specifically intended to allow only one selection. Will that work for you?
