Is there anyway to add a search on your page? I know unbounce is used for landing pages, but we are a very large company that uses a few of our pages in different ways. We are using the page to host an inventory of 200+ PDF signs for our vendors to access and really need a search feature on the page.

Hey @ChelseaJordan 👋🏻

Do you have a version of the page that you could share for now? That’ll help the Community get an idea of what you’re working with.

Another question for you, do you have the library of PDFs on another website already? This customer a while ago used some custom code to recreate a search function from their main website and load the search time findings from their landing page. Unfortunately their landing page isn’t available anymore but it could be a helpful reference.

Hey @Ed_Ilnicki,

Thank you for your response. Yes. This is what I have now, but it’s not ideal. https://discover.unfi.com/signs/ > https://discover.unfi.com/signs/g-24-lightbox.html. I used a list for now, but would like to implement a functional search bar on the actual page with the results showing in a lightbox pop-up. Right now all the PDF pages are hosted on a server as you can see if you click on one of the links in the search index https://emma-assets.s3.amazonaws.com/tl2eb/e9fbc33e8d364416a3295c98160175ae/Asparagus_Rolls_R2_Printable.pdf.

Got it, thanks for sharing that @ChelseaJordan.

Unfortunately, a search function like you’re describing gets into custom code outside of what the Unbounce team has seen/can support, and is outside of the landing page best practices we recommend. Hopefully someone else in the Community will be able to help or you can find a custom code solution 👍🏻 Was that older post I shared helpful?

Ok. thank you for your help anyway. It was not helpful just because it basically said the same that custom code was needed. My issue though is when I tried to implement any custom coding for the search bar, the JS, CSS and HTML would never integrate properly and I am not an expert in custom coding or Unbounce custom coding. What I have currently is suitable for now though, just not ideal.
